Breathable heavyweight garments for physical conditioning
In some embodiments, a heavyweight jacket includes a main body configured to fit on the torso of a wearer and sleeves that are fully detached from the main body. The sleeves advantageously facilitate putting on the heavy jacket, while providing a jacket of high weight. To form the heavyweight jacket, a pre-bonded fabric may be used. The fabric is pre-bonded and may optionally be further layered to increase the garment's weight without sacrificing flexibility or breathability. The layered fabric distributes the garment's weight evenly and ensures that the garment does not excessively restrict a wearer's freedom of movement or cause the wearer to overheat. The weight of the fabric may be increased by using a heavyweight glue to bond various layers of material together.
ATHLETIC GARMENT
In an embodiment, an athletic garment is provided including a front panel and a rear panel, a waistband portion disposed at an upper portion of the garment, a first opening for receiving a torso of a user, a second opening for receiving a first leg of a user and a third opening for receiving a second leg of a user; and a crotch panel disposed between the front and rear panel, extending from the second opening to the third opening. The crotch panel comprises a tri-layered substrate to conceal and prevent visible staining of a fluid received therein. The tri-layered substrate may include a first layer of a first material, a second layer of a second material, and a third layer of a third material.
Multi-component combination yarn system for moisture management in textiles and system for producing same
The invention provides a thermal control combination yarn system including a first plurality of the yarns within the system including microdenier or almost microdenier hydrophobic yarns, such as, for example, polypropylene (PP) and a second plurality of the yarns including less hydrophobic ultra microfibers (UMF), wherein the first plurality of yarns is in direct contact with the second plurality of yarns. The yarn system can include from 97% yarns made of a microdenier or almost microdenier hydrophobic material and 3% yarns made of a less hydrophobic ultra microfibers (UMF) material to 97% yarns made of the less hydrophobic ultra microfibers material and 3% yarns made of a microdenier or almost microdenier hydrophobic material.
Article of apparel incorporating a zoned modifiable textile structure
An article of apparel is disclosed that includes zones with a textile having a structure than changes or is otherwise modified by a physical stimulus, such as the presence of water or a temperature change, to modify a property of the textile. The zones may be along a center back area and/or side areas of the apparel, and the textile may increase in air permeability when exposed to water. In some embodiments, slits are formed in the textile.

Article of apparel
An article of apparel is formed that is effective to regulate the temperature of the wearer. In an embodiment, a textile substrate is obtained, and a thermal regulation composition is applied to a surface of the textile substrate at a first temperature and a first pressure to form a coated textile substrate. The coated textile substrate is dried to form a thermal regulation membrane disposed on the surface of the textile substrate, and the textile substrate with the thermal regulation membrane is compressed at a second pressure and a second temperature to position a portion of the thermal regulation membrane below the surface of the textile substrate. The textile substrate is incorporated into an article of apparel. The thermal regulation composition can include one or more system reactive components provided within a binder, where a system reactive components can include a cooling agent, a latent heat agent and/or a heat dissipation agent.
