CUT, SLASH AND/OR ABRASION RESISTANT PROTECTIVE FABRIC AND LIGHTWEIGHT SHAPED KNIT GARMENT MADE THEREFROM HAVING IMPROVED APPEARANCE AND CUT RESISTANCE
A cut, slash and/or abrasion resistant shaped knit garment having both high cut resistance and preferably light fabric weight, a cut resistance of at least 4, preferably at least 5 (as measured by ASTM-F1790-97) and preferably a fabric weight of no more than 27.9 ounces/square yard (OPSY).
PREDATOR REACTIVE MULTI-LAYER REPELLANT DEVICE
A multilayer protective device such as, but not limited to, a garment such as a vest or arm or leg wrap, a bag, a backpack, wraps for tents, camping items, etc. designed to be worn by domesticated or farm animals of various sizes and/or humans or placed on objects for which predator attack is to be deterred. The multilayer protective device is made from a multi-layered composite textile containing a non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance such that upon a bite from an attacking animal, the non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance is released deterring the attacking animal for such a time as to allow the wearer or user of the protective device to escape or be rescued.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR CUTTING OPERATIONS
Protective clothing for cutting operations includes an inner layer having the form of an article of clothing and an outer layer having the form of the same article of clothing as the inner layer and is configured to fit over the inner layer. The material of the inner layer is formed of least partly of a cut-resistant material. The inner and outer layers include a fastener which is configured to retain the inner and outer layers together in use.
Textile Item of Clothing with Ballistic Protection
The invention relates to a textile item of clothing equipped for ballistic protection. The textile item of clothing comprises a knitted fabric. Said knitted fabric has a plurality of differently protected zones. At least two different zones are interconnected without a seam. According to the invention, at least one first to zone is formed from a yarn that inhibits the penetration of fragments.
ULTRA-HARD CARBON FILM FROM EPITAXIAL TWO-LAYER GRAPHENE
An ultra-hard carbon film is formed by the uniaxial compression of thin films of graphene. The graphene films are two or three layers thick (2-L or 3-L). High pressure compression forms a diamond-like film and provides improved properties to the coated substrates.
GOALIEGUARD PROTECTIVE ICE HOCKEY PANTS
A garment for lower body protection during heavy contact sporting competition is provided, the garment a garment encasing a lower body of a user from waist level to ankle level and constructed of material comprising about 87% polyester, 8% fiberglass, and 5% spandex. The garment promotes protection from sharp edges is worn below padding and uniform. The material is directed to protection of a user from cut and slash injury from ice skates and protects the femoral artery, otherwise vulnerable to injury.
Saw protection
A protective clothing (100) comprising saw protective layering regions (110) comprising saw protection filler material, wherein said saw protective layering regions (110) has at least one reinforced section (120). A reinforced section (120) is also disclosed comprising saw protection filler material, said reinforced section (120) arranged to be removably arranged to protective clothing (100).
ENHANCED SIDE CLOSURE BODY ARMOR SYSTEMS
A bullet-resistant vest has a vest-front and a vest-back with side panels able to join and fasten about the sides of a torso of the user. The side panels have a thickness of about half of that of the vest-front and vest-back. When the side panels are overlapped and fastened at the sides, the total thickness of the conjoined side panels equal that of the vest-front or vest back. In this way, the fastening system advantageously provides a wearable vest which has a consistent thickness all about the torso of the user which does not unnecessarily bulge at the sides or create an impediment to movement of the user.

Personal Protective Devices With Carrying Bags
Personal protective devices have a carrying bag, such as a purse, and a separate bullet resistant vest or penetration resistant (to stab wounds) vest comprises at least one neck sling and at least one torso strap. The bullet/penetration resistant vest is dimensioned to removably fit within the carrying bag. The carrying bags are configured to provide a “ready state” wherein a bullet resistant shield and neck sling are within the carrying bag while at least a connector attached to the end of a deployable torso strap(s) is outside of the carrying bag. The carrying bag has at least one slot designed to allow the torso strap(s) to be pre-fed from the interior of the carrying bag to a position exterior of the carrying bag. In this “ready state”, the majority of the torso strap is maintained within the interior of the carrying bag. The neck sling and torso straps are deployable to secure the vest to a wearer's torso in the deployed position.
