Pure chlorine dioxide generation system with reduced acid usage
A method of producing chlorine dioxide is disclosed. The method may include feeding a reaction mixture into a separator. The reaction mixture may follow a helical path through the separator and produce gaseous chlorine dioxide within the separator. Gaseous chlorine dioxide may be withdrawn from the separator and used to disinfect process water.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR ON-DEMAND RELEASE OF ClO2 GAS FROM UV-ACTIVATED CHLORITE ION
Compositions and methods for generating ClO.sub.2 gas are disclosed. A composition that includes a chlorite salt is activated by exposure to ultraviolet light. After an optional storage period, the composition is then exposed to moisture, resulting in the generation of ClO.sub.2 gas. Exemplary compositions include polymers in which the chlorite salt is dispersed. The polymers may be used to form films that can be used to package, e.g., food products, pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and/or laboratory devices. Upon exposure to ultraviolet light and moisture, the packaging releases controlled quantities of ClO.sub.2 gas, which may disinfect and/or deodorize the packaged device or product.
METHOD FOR ONSITE PRODUCTION OF CHLORINE DIOXIDE
The methods disclosed generally relate to treatment of process water using chlorine dioxide. Specifically, reactants may be fed asynchronously into a diluent line or a tank where the reactants may mix and react to form chlorine dioxide. The chlorine dioxide levels may fluctuate in the diluent line or the tank thereby inhibiting or reducing the growth of microbes.
OXIDATIVE METHOD
The present invention relates to a method of generating chlorine dioxide from chlorite salts in the presence of an iron ion-containing complex, a method of treating a substrate with a chlorine-containing oxidant in the presence of an iron ion-containing complex and related aqueous media, kits and compositions.
CHLORINE DIOXIDE GENERATION
Devices and methods for safely using acid/chlorite ClO.sub.2 generator chemistry for water treatment, whereby a valve prevents chemical draw unless there is both vacuum within the reaction chamber as well as suitable water volume in the flow chamber for dilution, are described. The float-dependent valve can also allow for direct venting from the reaction chamber to the flow chamber in the event of elevated pressure in the reaction chamber. This approach delivers an inherently safer ClO.sub.2 generator design for systems that utilize high strength reactor zones with ClO.sub.2 concentration above 3,000 ppm.
AQUEOUS COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PRODUCING CHLORINE DIOXIDE USING AQUEOUS COMPOSITION
An aqueous composition includes an activator, a chlorite ion source, and water. The aqueous composition is alkaline. The aqueous composition produces chlorine dioxide upon contact with an acid. A method of producing chlorine dioxide includes contacting the aqueous composition with an acid.
Methods and systems for producing high purity gaseous chlorine dioxide
Methods and systems for producing high purity gaseous chlorine dioxide are provided. A solid chlorite reactant is contacted with an ozone-containing reactant gas, or a gas containing both ozone and a component that reacts with any hydroxide byproduct (such as carbon dioxide), to produce chlorine dioxide. The reaction can be monitored and controlled to ensure that excess chlorite reactant is provided and to prevent ozone from passing into the product gas.
IN-SITU GENERATION OF CHLORINE DIOXIDE USING METHANESULFONIC ACID FOR REMEDIATION OF SCALE AND SULFIDE
Various methods are disclosed for pumping sodium chlorite with the simultaneous addition of methanesulfonic acid (MSA) in a conventional acid stimulation. This allows for the delayed generation of chlorine dioxide to address iron sulfide and polysulfides in combination with biofilms and carbonate scales.
Process for the production of chlorine dioxide
The invention relates to a process for the production of chlorine dioxide comprising forming chlorine dioxide in a reaction medium in a reaction vessel and withdrawing chlorine dioxide as a gas from the reaction medium in the reaction vessel, the process further comprising adding chlorine dioxide to at least one raw material used in the process. The invention further relates to the use of chlorine dioxide for the reduction of the amount of chlorinated aromatic compounds occurring in a process for the production of chlorine dioxide.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REINSURANCE OF AIR PURIFICATION
A chemical disinfection process for vehicles using chlorine dioxide and titanium dioxide with calculated re-treatment formulas and schedules based on bacterial infestation data. Systems and methods that include client devices and servers that monitor and control a chemical disinfection process. The system generates a surety arrangement that facilitates re-treatment and electronic notification alerts to chemical solution vendors, dealers and vehicle owners.
