SELECTIVE DEPOSITION OF REFLECTIVE MATERIALS FOR AN APPAREL ITEM
A garment with reflective material applied to an outer surface of the garment is provided herein. The reflective material is positioned on the garment based on modeled sun exposure. A method for modeling sun exposure to determine the positioning of reflective material on a garment is also provided herein. A system for modeling sun exposure, determining the position of reflective material on a garment, and applying the reflective material to the outer surface of the garment is also provided.
ULTRAVIOLET AND HIGH ENERGY VISIBLE LIGHT PROTECTIVE GARMENTS WITH SKIN AND SCALP BENEFICIAL PROPERTIES
The present disclosure relates to a garment for blocking exposure of a subject to harmful solar irradiation while simultaneously permitting exposure of the subject to beneficial solar irradiation. The garment includes a fabric layer including a dual purpose material composition that, by itself, blocks harmful solar irradiation while simultaneously permitting beneficial solar irradiation to an area of skin of a subject covered by the fabric layer when exposed to solar light, where the harmful solar irradiation comprises ultraviolet A (UVA), ultraviolet B (UVB), and/or high-energy visible (HEV) light, and where the beneficial solar irradiation comprises visible (VIS) and/or infrared (IR) light. The present disclosure also relates to methods of using and making the garment, as well as a protective covering made from the dual purpose material composition fabric layer.
Retroreflective article comprising embedded reflective layers
A retroreflective article including a binder layer and a plurality of retroreflective elements. Each retroreflective element includes a transparent microsphere partially embedded in the binder layer. At least some of the retroreflective elements include a reflective layer that is embedded between the transparent microsphere and the binder layer. At least some of the embedded reflective layers are localized reflective layers.
ILLUMINATING HEADWEAR DEVICE AND KIT
An illuminating headwear device and kit are shown and described. The illuminating headwear device and kit includes a headwear device. The headwear device is configured to removably secure about the head of an individual. The headwear devices also include a power source. The power source is coupled to at least one light. The at least one light is secured to the headwear device such that the light is pointed in a direction which will, at least partially, illuminate the individual's shoulders, torso, and back when the headwear device is worn. In one instance an on/off switch will allow for the at least one light be turned on and off. The kit further includes an illumination garment. The illumination garment will glow when the beam from the at least one light hits it.
