A personal protective device (PPE) including a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to can rotate the cover and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases.

A training tunic is provided with tapered front and back panels. The back panel has attached side straps that mate with matable front portions on the front panel. The end of each side strap is folded to form a pocket compartment opening upward. Where each side strap is attached to the back panel, an outer side pocket is formed along the back panel that is sized and positioned so that the side strap may be inserted into the outer side pocket. When the training tunic is worn, it is open on the sides above and below the side straps, and a sleeveless arm area is formed on each side of the garment between the shoulder seams and the side straps. A garment or accessory includes an outer layer coupled to a liner that is partially removable via fasteners. The outer layer includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The liner includes an edge. A portion of the edge is coupled to the inner surface of the outer layer. The fastener includes a first member coupled to the inner surface of the outer layer and a second member coupled to the liner at an uncoupled portion of the edge of the liner. A space is formed between the liner and the inner surface of the outer layer. The space is accessible through the uncoupled portion.

A thermoformed protective face shield includes a curved top portion adapted to conform to a curved lower portion of a rigid protective headwear. The face shield further includes a visor portion extending outward from a lower end of the curved top portion, thereby creating a space between the user's face and a face cover portion. The visor portion includes one or more channels formed therein for structural support and/or allowing release of heat and/or moisture from the face cover portion. The face cover portion extends downward from the visor portion and covers and provides protection for the face of a user. A side shield portion extends inwardly from the face cover portion. For shielding the sides of a user's face. Further, a perimeter flange may extend perpendicular to the perimeter of the face shield for providing structural support to the face shield.

A protective clothing includes a first entrance in the front portion of the protective clothing, an operable portion in the hip section, two sleeve sections formed to the upper portion of the protective clothing, two leg sections formed to the lower portion of the protective clothing, multiple air orifices formed in sleeve sections and leg sections, a head mask removably connected to the upper portion of the protective clothing and having a transparent window, and an air blowing device attached to the protective clothing. The air blowing device sends air into the protective clothing, and the air releases from the air orifices to cool down the inside temperature the protective clothing.

A decompression floating protective patellar knee joint pad for preventing contact between the patella and an external surface may include a fabric sleeve sized to surround a user's knee region, extending from the user's lower leg to the user's thigh; a stabilizing platform with a central opening mimicking a shape of the patellar region of the user attached to the fabric sleeve; a cushioning material attached to a posterior surface of the stabilizing; and a patellar cap attached to the stabilizing platform and covering the central opening, wherein the patellar cap is protracted away from the user, creating a void configured to prevent the patella from having contact with the external surface.

An apparel item having an insert configured to provide ventilation to the wearer is provided herein. The apparel item is formed by at least a front panel having a posterior edge, a back panel having an anterior edge, and an insert made for coupling the front panel and the back panel. An anterior edge of the insert is coupled to the posterior edge of the front panel while a posterior edge of the insert is attached to the back panel at a position posterior to the back panel's anterior edge.

At least one aspect of the present disclosure features a reclosable fastener for use on a non-woven article having a first part and a second part. The reclosable fastener includes a first fastener component, a second fastener component, and an adhesive layer attaching the second fastener component to the second part of the non-woven article. The first fastener component has first fastening elements. The first fastener component is attached to or integrated with the first part of the non-woven article. The second fastener component includes second fastening elements configured to engage with first fastening elements. The second fastener component includes one or more inactive regions. The second fastening elements within an in-active region are substantially deactivated.

A mitt includes a hand cover portion and optionally also a forearm cover portion into which a hand of the user can be placed when playing with a dog, cat or other pet.
