Hand covering having a retainer element

Embodiments provide a hand covering, such as a glove or mitten, with a retainer for holding the hand covering in a retaining configuration when not being worn covering the hand of a user. The hand covering may include a central hand portion, a finger receiving portion extending from the central hand portion, and a strap. The hand covering may extend generally in a longitudinal direction from a proximal side at the central hand portion to a distal side at the finger receiving portion. The central hand portion may define at the proximal side a cavity configured to receive a hand. The strap may be attached to an inside face of the central hand portion and extend generally lateral to the longitudinal direction. The strap may be separable from the inside face in between a first attached end and a second attached end to define a passageway configured to receive a hand.

DETACHABLE CAPTURE DEVICE FOR BIOMATERIALS

A detachable capture device for biomaterials may include a capture unit and an attachment unit. The capture unit may have a certain area to be attached biomaterials that causes respiratory diseases thereon, and the attachment unit may be detachably attached to an inner surface of the mask or an outer surface of the mask to fix the capture unit to the mask.

JACKET

A jacket includes a main jacket body and an active heating system. The main jacket body is adapted for covering at least part of the body of a user, and has a neck section adapted to be disposed proximate to the neck of the user, a waist section adapted to be disposed proximate to the waist and lower back of the user, and at least one abdomen section adapted to be disposed proximate to the abdomen of the user. The active heating system is disposed in the main jacket body, is adapted for generating and transferring heat to the user, and includes at least three heating units. Each of the heating units is disposed in a respective one of the neck section, the waist section and the abdomen section of the main jacket body.

Fistula Sleeve
20220160060 · 2022-05-26 ·

The present invention is a fistula sleeve for covering and protecting a fistula on the inside of an arm. The sleeve grips the wrist and adjustably and snuggly fits around the wider contours of the arm without imparting pressure on the fistula. The sleeve partially opens to expose the fistula for dialysis and daily care. A narrower wrist region secures around the wrist. An elongated forearm region wraps around the forearm, and a smooth central region covers the fistula. The wrist and forearm regions are independently secured. Securement strips have semi-rigid backings that stiffen the side portions of the sleeve help secure and remove the sleeve with one hand, and form a spine to help maintain the alignment of the sleeve on the arm. A double layer of material is stitched together along its perimeter, while the inner layer is free to slide relative to the outer layer in the smooth central area that engages the fistula. The sleeve stretches laterally to grip and secure around the wrist, while allowing the forearm portion to snuggly fit around the contours of the forearm and accommodate the fistula in a non-pressure generating manner.

Stowable garment system with quick release mechanism

Aspects herein are directed to a stowable garment system that allows for quick deployment and donning of an upper-body garment that is stowed within a pouch located on the front of a belt structure configured to encircle the waist of a wearer. The garment comprises at least a front section and a back section, where a portion of the front section is attached to the pouch. The garment further comprises a first tab extending from a bottom margin at a first side of the back section and a second tab extending from the bottom margin at a second opposite side of the back section. When stowed within the pouch, the tabs extend through one or more openings in the pouch. The wearer may exert tension on the tabs to actuate a quick-release mechanism causing the pouch to open, and enabling the garment to be deployed and donned.

Hood For Powered Air Purifying Respirator

A respiratory device for covering a head of a wearer can comprise a head engagement element. A hood can define an interior and a rim. The hood can comprise a rim that is configured to bias against the head of the wearer to inhibit air communication therebetween. At least a portion of the hood can be transparent. A hose fitting can be operatively coupled to the hood to provide air therethrough into the interior of the hood. The hood can be configured to be releasably coupled to the head engagement element at a plurality of positions. The plurality of positions can comprise a forward position and a rear position that is spaced from the forward position by at least one inch along an anteroposterior adjustment axis.
