A personal protective device (PPE) comprising a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to rotate (either manually or by electric motor) the masks and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases, such as operation in more hostile environments.

A hand glove includes a glove body having a dorsal side, a palmar side, a radial side, an ulnar side, and a hand portion including a palm section, a dorsal section, a plurality of digit sheaths, and an opening for providing access to an interior of the glove. Aspects herein are directed to an apparel layer system configured to provide variable levels of insulation, warming, or air permeability. The apparel layer system comprises a first layer of material and a second layer of material both extending in a first planar direction. A third layer of material is positioned between the first and the second layers of material and is selectively affixed thereto. An adjustment mechanism coupled to the second layer of material can be mechanically manipulated to shift the second layer of material between different positions or states to achieve variable levels of offset between the first and second layers of material in the first planar direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first planar direction.

A garment for shaping a form of its wearer includes a front panel and a back panel coupled to one another at first and second seams. The front panel comprises self-lining material in a pectoral portion and compression layer material in a torso portion of the front panel. The back panel includes a first arcuate portion of compression layer material along the first seam and a second arcuate portion of compression layer material along the second seam. Lining material extends from an upper portion of the back panel to a bottom portion of the back panel and is coupled to the two arcuate portions such that the two arcuate portions are separated by the lining material. The compression layer material has a higher elastic modulus than a respective elastic modulus of the lining material.

A method for assembling a garment portion including accessing a first garment portion, a second garment portion and a fixture, wherein the first garment portion is generally tubular and has two plies. The method further includes positioning the first garment portion on the fixture such that the fixture is positioned in the first garment portion, and wrapping the second garment portion about the first garment portion. The method further includes unrolling or unfolding at least part of the first garment portion over the second garment portion such that the second garment portion is positioned between the two plies of the first garment portion.

A garment extender including: a body provided with an attachment at each side thereof, each of the attachments defining a channel and a slit leading laterally into the channel. When the attachment is operatively secured to a garment slide fastener of a garment, a gripped portion of one of the stringer tapes of the garment slide fastener is inserted in the slit and the channel receives thereinto teeth that are supported by the stringer tape adjacent the gripped portion.

A resealable, openable face mask includes a mask body with a central flap. The central flap is filter air when closed and provides access to a user's mouth when open. The invention described herein is the micro-seam hidden zipper. There are two contemplated versions of the Micro-Seam Hidden Zipper: 1) side to side zipper orientation and 2) front to back zipper orientation.
