Garment with dual closure configuration
Exemplary garments may be reconfigurable into multiple closed positions. For example, in a first closed position, a first front panel of the garment may cover some or all of a second front panel; while in a second closed position, the second front panel may cover some or all of the first front panel. The first front panel and the second front panel may be releasably fastened together in both the first closed position and the second closed position.
WEARABLE AIRFOIL
A wearable airfoil for reducing aerodynamic drag. The wearable airfoil includes a garment, the garment including at least an anchor unit adapted to receive a fastening means of an airfoil element, characterized in that the anchor unit includes adjusting means capable to adjust a tension of an edge of the airfoil element by at least controlling an effective length of the edge.
Fastener systems, methods, and articles
A fastener system for clothing and other personal items is disclosed. The fastener system uses a combination of materials to form elements that can be adapted to different fastening applications. A first component of the system includes two members. The first member has an aperture for accommodating a T-shaped attachment member and a button. The second member has a T-shaped attachment member that fits through the aperture and rotates sideways to prevent passing backward through the aperture. The second member also has a strap for securing the attachment member against the aperture by attaching the strap to the button. A second component of the system includes a button with an enlarged head and base, and a flexible washer that fits over the head of the button. Fabric of an article to be secured may be laid over the head of the button and secured around the head of the button using the washer.
PROTECTIVE GARMENT FOR NUCLEAR AND TOXIC ENVIRONMENTS
A protective garment, including a double protective garment, for working in radioactive, nuclear, and/or toxic environments, wherein the main body has a rear surface and the rear surface comprises a reversible opening which is adapted to allow a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) tank to be removed and replaced while the user continues to wear the protective garment. The reversible opening can be a zipper, including a double zipper. The protective garment is formed of a tri-laminate 30/30/30 water resistant barrier fabric. The garment can be incinerated so as to provide a disposable, one time use coverall particularly adapted for use in nuclear/radioactive environments. The coverall provides integrated elements for water resistance (i.e., splash resistant), breathable, comfortable contamination protection with a high volume of water vapor transfer which can mitigate worker heat stress. It is adapted for use with various types of breathing apparatuses, included external air lines, back-mounted SCBAs, and emergency breathing bottles or apparatuses. Air tanks and bottles are covered by the garment and thus do not need to be decontaminated. The garment also can include elements for use with air sampling devices and/or dosimetry equipment that are often worn by such workers.
ADAPTIVE CLOTHING APPARATUS FOR PERSONS WITH IMPAIRED MOBILITY
An adaptive clothing apparatus designed for assisting persons with impaired mobility and/or impaired cognitive function includes a plurality of panels for covering the wearer's torso. The intuitive apparatus includes a front panel having attached thereto a wrapping panel, being a posterior torso encapsulator (PTE) panel, and a receiving panel. The PTE panel is equipped with dual fastening systems, being a side torso fastening system positioned in a lower section of the PTE panel and a shoulder fastening system positioned in an upper section of the PTE panel. The asymmetrical design of the apparatus allows the side torso fastening system to be positioned along the side of the user's torso forward of the user's axilla, such that the apparatus can be secured around a wearer by a care provider without difficulty, and without causing injury to the wearer, whether the wearer is in a standing, sitting, or lying position.
Garment device and system having wireless charging function, and charging method using the same
The embodiments herein achieve a system including a first mobile device; a second mobile device; a garment device; and a control unit. The garment device includes a first connection unit formed in a first area corresponding to a position on which the first mobile device is worn, a second connection unit formed at a position on which the second mobile device is worn, and a fabric cable electrically connected with the first connection unit and the second connection unit. Further, the control unit is configured to control one of a charging of the second mobile device from the first mobile device, and a charging of the first mobile device from the second mobile device based on a charging direction, wherein the charging direction is determined based on a battery information of one of the first mobile device and the second mobile device.
