The article may be a garment that includes an item of clothing to be worn by a person and a support garment panel attached to the item of clothing. The support garment panel is attached to the perimeter of the armholes of the item of clothing and defines a pocket between the support garment panel and the item of clothing. The pocket includes an opening for receiving an infant and a base for supporting the infant.
