BABY SOCKS AND RELATED ITEMS WITH IMPROVED IN-PLACE RETENTION
An improved baby sock that will reduce the instance of the sock coming off the foot while in use and related applications to children's, women's, and men's socks. Application of the invention to improved in-place retention for hats, mittens, foot-less onesies, shoes, and bedding are presented.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Personal protective equipment configured to reduce the discomfort of the protruding joint of the conventional personal protective equipment includes a sleeve, at least one adhesive membrane, and at least one thin film. The sleeve is formed by curving an elastic fabric and joining two opposite joining edges of the elastic fabric in a butting manner. The adhesive membrane has an adhesive side adhesively attached to a surface of the sleeve over an area where the two opposite joining edges of the sleeve extend. The thin film covers and is adhesively attached to another adhesive side of the adhesive membrane. The personal protective equipment, therefore, has a flat joint and is spared those prior art drawbacks attributable to the protuberance of a hemmed border or overlap seam, such as an uncomfortable sensation and a lack of conformity to the contour of the body part being protected.
MEDICAL GLOVE ANTI-SLIP AND FLUID GUARD BAND
An elastic band for attachment over the juncture of a surgical glove and sleeve of a surgical gown is disclosed. The elastic band has an abrasive inner surface in contact with the juncture to limit movement of the band relative to the juncture. A circumferential portion of the inner surface is concave. The band may be of variable circumferences to fit the user, adjusting to the size of the user's wrist.
WAISTBAND WITH SUPPORT PANEL
Aspects herein relate to a waistband construct designed to provide support to a torso area of a wearer and more specifically, a mid to lower torso area of a human wearer, (i.e. a pelvic area of a wearer). The waistband construct in accordance herein may have a multiple modulus of elasticity construction with at least one variation in modulus of elasticity along a circumference of the waistband construct. For example, the waistband construct in accordance with aspects herein may have a first portion having a first modulus of elasticity and a second portion having a second modulus of elasticity, where at least the portion having the higher modulus of elasticity may have a multiple layer construction for providing an effective support mechanism to at least a portion of the mid to lower torso area of the wearer.
GARMENT FOR USE WITH STOMAS
Disclosed herein are form-fitting garments configured to hold an ostomy pouch close to the body via a shaped interior pocket creating a barrier between the pouch and skin of an individual. The garment may include a plurality of pockets such that an unused pocket may serve to hold additional supplies. The garment is preferably configured to have a maximum stretch in the horizontal direction allowing for the expansion of the pouch while having minimal stretching in the vertical direction to prevent the interior pocket and garment from sagging under the weight of the pouch.
Grip augmentation straps
A slap wrap style grip augmentation strap is provided in which the extended securing strap is lined with a bistable ribbon formed of metal or similarly functioning material. The lined strap extends from a wrist loop and provide a self-wrapping ability which allows the user to get a tighter and more uniform grip that was previously much harder or near impossible to obtain with other lifting straps. Gripping efficiency is improved with quickly applied, strong and equal equally applied attachment to a targeted piece of exercise equipment. The use of a strap of the present invention will encourage proper body mechanics during lifting exercises that would help prevent these potential dangers. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Garment Fastening Systems, Devices and Methods
New garment-fastening techniques are provided. In some embodiments, a new form of adjustable hair tie is provided. In some such embodiments, a new form of scrunchie is provided. In some embodiments, the new form of scrunchie includes widely-variable, user-adjustable tension, elastic cushioning disposed on or about a contact area with a user's hair, and a smooth (e.g., silk) surface. In some embodiments, the contact area surrounds and defines a central hair-gripping void with a user-variable size, and includes a substantially flattened support and profile. In some embodiments, a new form of waistband, wristband, or other clothing-fastening band of material is provided. In some such embodiments, a new form of garment enhancement device, incorporating a unique pattern of alignment- and grip-enhancing sub-elements, is provided on or about such a band, which improves garment positioning, and provides a non-stick hold on a user's body.
Activewear Garment
An activewear garment having facial opening formed on an anterior side of an upper head portion of the garment. An elastic securing band is attached to an interior rim of the facial opening, said elastic securing band being attached around the entire circumference of said facial opening. An adhering layer composed of one or more types of adhesive substances, including pressure sensitive adhesives, are applied to an interior side of the elastic securing band, such adhering layer being configured to releasably adhere to a user's facial skin, thereby preventing the full or partial dislodgement of such activewear garment during high contact athletic activities.
Waistband with support panel
Aspects herein relate to a waistband construct designed to provide support to a torso area of a wearer and more specifically, a mid to lower torso area of a human wearer, (i.e. a pelvic area of a wearer.) The waistband construct in accordance herein may have a multiple modulus of elasticity construction with at least one variation in modulus of elasticity along a circumference of the waistband construct.
Garment
A garment (10) comprising a grip coating located on inner and outer surfaces of a garment section (12) so as to generate in use friction between a wearer's skin and the garment (10) and friction between the garment (10) and an external contact surface. The grip coating includes a first array of grip elements (14) located on the inner surface of the garment section (12) and a second array of grip elements (16) located on the outer surface of the garment section (12). The first and second arrays are arranged relative to each other so that the grip elements (14,16) of the first and second arrays are offset relative to each other and do not overlie or overlap each other.
