Fireproof fabric and protective suit, in particular for motor sports, made of said fabric
Fireproof fabric comprising a set of warp threads (C1, . . . C6) and a set of weft threads, wherein said warp threads (C1, . . . C6) are arranged on a plurality of warp levels (A, B, C); all said warp levels are bound together by at least one weft thread (T5) acting as a binding thread and arranged so as to prevent relative slipping of said levels, and at least one of the set of weft threads and the set of warp threads is formed by elasticized threads, comprising a core of elastically deformable material lined with a fireproof material.
IMPACT PROTECTION FOAM
An impact protection foam includes the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component. The isocyanate component includes at least one isocyanate. The isocyanate-reactive component includes from 20 wt % to 80 wt % of a hydrophobic polyol component and from 20 wt % to 80 wt % of a hydrophilic polyol component, based on the total weight of the isocyanate reactive component. The hydrophobic polyol component includes at least one natural oil hydrophobic polyol, and the hydrophilic polyol component includes at least a polyether polyol having a number average molecular weight from 3,000 g/mol to 10,000 g/mol and a primary hydroxyl content of at least 50 wt %. The isocyanate index is from 50-120. The foam article has a rate of energy dissipation less than 35 KN over the temperature range from 10 C to 40 C and a Shore A hardness of less than 55 at both 23° C. and −10° C.
Weather Exposure Reduction Apparatus
An article of apparel includes a covering having a first portion, a second portion, and a bulge that extends across a union of the first and second portions. The covering is sized to substantially fill a frontal void of a pair of chaps. The article of apparel further includes an attachment structure with which the article of apparel is attachable to a secondary article of apparel.
MOTORCYCLE PROTECTIVE APPAREL
A protective apparel is provided. The protective apparel includes a tubular sleeve formed of a protective material. The tubular sleeve includes an upper rim forming an upper opening and a lower rim forming a lower opening opposite the upper opening. The tubular sleeve is sized to cover a substantial portion of a user's arm. The present invention further includes an elbow padding disposed at an elbow portion of the tubular sleeve in between the upper opening and the lower opening. The present invention may be worn by a user to protect their arms while riding on a motorcycle without wearing a heavy jacket.
COOLING GARMENT
A cooling garment, including a garment body (1) and an external-air introducing three-dimensional member (2); and the external-air introducing three-dimensional member (2) includes a base material (2a), a side-wall material (2b) enabling an opening portion to be open during wearing, and an opening portion support material (2c). The three-dimensional member arranged on the garment enables a large amount of external air to be introduced into the internal portion of the garment, even to an exhausting area thereof, especially during movement, thus improving efficiency of air entry and exhaust.
MOTORCYCLE SHIRT OR SPEED-BOAT SHIRT WITH HOLD-DOWN ATTACHMENT DEVICE AND KIT THEREFOR
A hold-down attachment device attachable to the inside of a shirt and configured to reversibly attach to a wearer's pants or belt to retain the shirt in the proper position on a wearer's body.
Motorcycling apparel
Motorcycling apparel, particularly motorcycling jerseys and pants, and methods of manufacture thereof are provided. In the motorcycling pant of the invention, a compressive inner layer is integrally affixed to a protective outer layer. In embodiments, the motorcycling pant includes a zipper for securing the outer layer snugly around a leg of the wearer. The integrally affixed compressive layer and zipper mechanism permit a wearer to put on additional protective gear, e.g. knee braces, over the motorcycling pant with less time and effort than previous motorcycling pants require.
METHOD FOR JOINING TOGETHER TWO PROTECTIVE MATERIALS AND PROTECTIVE GARMENT COMPRISING AN ARTICLE MADE USING THIS METHOD
The present invention relates to a method for joining a first protective material (10) together with a second protective material (20) consisting of a thermally insulating fabric having a mesh configuration. The method comprises the steps of: providing a plurality of separate gluing points (30) on an inner surface (14) of the first protective material (10); hot-pressing the second protective material (20) onto the first protective material (10), in order to melt the plurality of separate gluing points (30), so as to firmly fix the second protective material (20) to the first protective material (10). The present invention relates furthermore to a protective garment, in particular for motorcyclists, comprising an article made using this method.
Multi-component garment
Relating to a multi-component garment including a first outer component, provided with first fixing; a second inner component for providing protection against knocks and/or falls, provided with second fixing; and a third, inner, thermal insulation component provided with third fixing. The first, second and third fixing are designed to cooperate with each other so as to allow selective mutual fixing of at least: (a) the first outer component and the second inner component, (b) the first outer component and the third inner component and (c) the first outer component, the second inner component and the third inner component to each other.
Garment for motorcyclists
The present invention relates to a garment for motorcyclists (10) comprising a panel (12) formed by two elastic inserts (14), each elastic insert (14) having a first portion (141), positioned underneath the respective armpit, along the side of the upper portion of the trunk, and a second portion (142), inclined upwards over the respective shoulder blade, and by an elastic band (16), crosswise positioned along the bottom portion of the back. According to the invention the two elastic inserts (14) are connected to the elastic band (16) by means of at least one not-stretchable element (18), running along the sides of the torso. Moreover the garment (10) comprises two further stretchable pieces (20), each stretchable piece (20) running along the inner side of the sleeve from the wrist up to the armpit and being provided with an extension (22) extending along the adjacent side of the upper portion of the trunk and joined to the first portion (141) of the adjacent elastic insert (14).
