Remote Monitoring Of Live Catch Rodent Traps

A live catch trap having a light-based sensor mounted therein and remote communication capability. The light-based sensor may be a visual image device such as a CMOS or CCD camera that evaluates the status of the trap interior for the presence of insects and/or rodents. The camera may be activated to check the trap interior either periodically or in response to an event as detected by one or more sensors such as a motion detector, accelerometer, pressure sensor and/or temperature sensor. Alternatively, the trap may include a reflectivity sensor or a photo sensor including arrays of LEDs and photodiodes. The trap includes a microprocessor that evaluates the data collected by the light-based sensor to determine what type of activity has been sensed and then reports this information wirelessly to a remote user.

The enclosure and the drawer having openings that form a passage for a mouse to reach into the drawer. The drawer having a sheet of sticky material that holds the mouse in the drawer, wherein the drawer having the immobilized mouse can be withdrawn from the enclosure for disposing of the mouse.

Pest-management apparatuses with separator to direct rodent movement and/or improve rodent contact with adhesive

Pest-management apparatuses (e.g., stations), such as, for example, that can configured to permit a rodent to enter and retrieve a bait and/or become trapped (e.g., adhesive or a snap-trap).

Glue trap
11006621 · 2021-05-18 ·

A glue trap for trapping vermin has a base flap and a cover flap formed by folding a cardboard sheet to create a folding hinge. At least one slot is formed in the cover flap at or near the fold line. A target surface of non-drying adhesive is installed on or over the upper surface of the base flap. Optionally, a target surface of non-drying adhesive is installed on or over the upper surface of the cover flap. In one embodiment, a tilt trigger having a bent angle shape has its first arm appended to the target and its second arm inserted into the slot opening of the cover flap, and in contact with the rear surface of the cover flap. The trap is installed with the base flap over a horizontal support surface and the cover flap disposed at an angle thereto and preferably in contact with a vertical surface, such as a wall. Vermin will stick to the adhesive and try to escape, causing a tilting motion of the tilt trigger and urging the cover flap to fold over the base flap and over the vermin caught on the target surface. In another embodiment, a riser is formed at the fold line creating the hinge of the trap. Movement of vermin caught by the adhesive moves the riser near the fold line downward, which causes the cover flap to fold over the base flap at the fold line.

MODULAR PEST TRAP ASSEMBLY
20210037803 · 2021-02-11 ·

The modular pest trap assembly of the present application includes a modular relatively planar structure that is configured to be adaptable for different methods and areas of a structure for the capture of pests. The assembly includes a main body with a first face and a second face. The modular structure also includes a flap and an edge trap member. An adhesive layer extends across a portion of a singular face of the modular structure. A detachable film cover lays across the adhesive layer to permit handling without contact of the adhesive layer. The flap extends outward from the main body so as to assist in attaching the main body to a corner for creation of a void space.

Glue Tube

A Glue Tube for trapping moles and other rodents is designed to form its own packaging. In this case, a glue tube package is formed by a sturdy cardboard tube with a non-drying biodegradable adhesive applied to the inner diameter walls. Protective end caps are inserted into each open end to protect the adhesive and the user until time of use. No outer packaging is required. To use, the end caps are removed and, the tube is inserted into an underground tunnel created by a rodent. The tube is inserted underground aligning with the existing path while the adhesive inner surface is exposed for rodents entering or traversing the length of the tube. Complete coverage of the inner lining with glue increases its effectiveness in trapping rodents. Due to its use of biodegradable materials the Glue Tube can be left underground to naturally decompose and break down.

REUSABLE TRAY FOR A GLUE BOARD TRAP AND A TRAP HAVING SUCH A TRAY FITTED WITH A REPLACEABLE GLUE BOARD

A reuseable glue board tray to be fitted with a glue board to form a glue board trap for rodent and other pests, and a glue trap having a reusable glue board tray with refillable glue boards, are provided. The side walls of the tray have a slanted lip sloped at an angle of preferably about 45 to the horizontal with the low side of the slope being on the outside edge of the tray to encourage pest interaction with the glue board by eliminating barriers between the glue board and the surface on which the tray rests. In addition, at least one of the side walls does not have a lip to facilitate replacement of the glue board through the lipless side while further facilitating easy entry of pests. Finger access cutouts are provided in the side walls of the tray that allow the user to lift the tray without touching the glue board, and two opposing sides of the tray have inwardly extending tabs that lap over the adjacent outer edges of the glue board to prevent the board from falling out of the tray unintentionally. The configuration of the tabs and/or side walls enables a plurality of trays to be nested together to form a compact stack of trays.

Surfaces coated with high viscosity index petroleum based gel and methods for use as a barrier to crawling insects

Means and methods for preventing crawling insects from infesting a site where food, water, or garbage is located. In particular, this relates to creating a non-poisonous barrier in the path of the insects by coating a surface with a layer of high viscosity index petroleum based gel (HVIP-gel). One embodiment is an insect deterrent cup that is comprised of an inverted (upside down) cup whose inner surface is coated with a layer of PetrolGel. The insect deterrent cup is positioned between the food site and the crawling insects, blocking their path. This prevents crawling insects from accessing the food, water, or garbage.

ANIMAL TRAP DETECTION SYSTEM USING A GLUE BOARD
20200236920 · 2020-07-30 ·

An animal trap system includes a glue board, an animal trap accelerometer sensor, and a signal unit in close proximity to and in communications with the animal trap accelerometer sensor, wherein the signal unit also contains an accelerometer sensor. The animal trap system is capable of detecting capture events, non-capture events, false positives, and/or the type of animal captured by using differential signal analysis and machine learning techniques. When an acceleration is received by the animal trap accelerometer sensor above a pre-set acceleration threshold value, it sends a capture signal to the signal unit and if the signal unit does not receive such acceleration event, the signal unit transmits a capture signal to an off-site receiver. A method of trapping one or more animals using this system is also provided.
