COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
An object is to provide a composition containing a boron-containing carbon quantum dot, the composition being in a solid state at room temperature, having good emission efficiency, and further having high thermal stability at high temperatures. The composition to achieve the above object contains: a boron-containing carbon quantum dot containing boron as a heteroatom; and a layered clay mineral, and the composition is solid at 25° C. and 1 atm.
AMMONIUM OCTAMOLYBDATE METAL HYDROXIDE COMPLEXES AND USES THEREOF AS SMOKE SUPPRESSANTS
Processes for producing ammonium octamolybdate/metal hydroxide complexes include the steps of pre-contacting ammonium dimolybdate and a metal hydroxide, and then contacting molybdenum trioxide, to form the ammonium octamolybdate/metal hydroxide complexes. The resulting complexes contain the metal hydroxide and from 1 to 95 wt. % of ammonium octamolybdate, and generally, at least 80 wt. % of the ammonium octamolybdate in the complex is present in an orthorhombic crystalline form. These ammonium octamolybdate/metal hydroxide complexes can be used as smoke suppressants in polymer compositions, such as PVC-based and epoxy-based formulations.
COMPOSITE POLYCRYSTAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A composite polycrystal includes: a polycrystalline diamond phase including a plurality of diamond particles; and non-diamond phases composed of non-diamond carbon. The non-diamond phases are distributed in the polycrystalline diamond phase. An average value of projected area equivalent circle diameters of the non-diamond phases is not more than 1000 nm.
Stable Shaped Alumina and Method for Producing Same
The present invention relates to a calcined shaped alumina and to a method of preparing a calcined shaped alumina. The method comprises that the alumina in the alumina suspension is hydrothermally aged to have a specific crystallite size. This in turn produces a highly stable alumina in the form of a calcined shaped alumina particularly at temperatures of 1200° C. and above.
POROUS STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME
Provided are a porous structure and a method of fabricating the same. The porous structure may include an aluminum oxide containing at least one of fluorine and phenyl group. For example, the porous structure may be formed from alumina which contains fluorine or phenyl group. The method of fabricating the porous structure may include preparing an aluminum precursor including at least one of fluorine and phenyl group; providing a precursor solution by mixing the precursor with a solvent; and forming the porous structure having 3-dimensional network structure including the aluminum oxide containing the at least one of fluorine and phenyl group from the precursor solution through gelation.
SOLID CARBON PRODUCTS COMPRISING CARBON NANOTUBES AND METHODS OF FORMING SAME
Methods of forming solid carbon products include disposing a plurality of nanotubes in a press, and applying heat to the plurality of carbon nanotubes to form the solid carbon product. Further processing may include sintering the solid carbon product to form a plurality of covalently bonded carbon nanotubes. The solid carbon product includes a plurality of voids between the carbon nanotubes having a median minimum dimension of less than about 100 nm. Some methods include compressing a material comprising carbon nanotubes, heating the compressed material in a non-reactive environment to form covalent bonds between adjacent carbon nanotubes to form a sintered solid carbon product, and cooling the sintered solid carbon product to a temperature at which carbon of the carbon nanotubes do not oxidize prior to removing the resulting solid carbon product for further processing, shipping, or use.
Multiamine ligands for nanoparticle solubilization and ink compositions containing nanoparticles capped with the ligands
Ligand-capped scattering nanoparticles, curable ink compositions containing the ligand-capped scattering nanoparticles, and methods of forming films from the ink compositions are provided. Also provided are cured films formed by curing the ink compositions and photonic devices incorporating the films. The ligands bound to the inorganic scattering nanoparticles include a head group and a tail group. The head group includes a polyamine chain and binds the ligands to the nanoparticle surface. The tail group includes a polyalkylene oxide chain.
ANHYDROUS ANTIPERSPIRANT COMPOSITIONS
An anhydrous antiperspirant stick or soft solid composition comprising an antiperspirant active system, thickening agent, and non-aqueous carrier oil, characterised in that the particulate antiperspirant active system comprises an aluminium sesquichlorohyrate of formula AI.sub.2OH.sub.44CI.sub.1.6 to AI.sub.2OH.sub.4.9CI.sub.1.1 activated with a water soluble calcium salt.
Pseudo-boehmite, manufacturing process and application thereof
A pseudo-boehmite has a dry basis content of 55-85 wt % and contains a phosphoric acid ester group. The sodium oxide content is not greater than 0.5 wt %, and the phosphorus content (in terms of phosphorus pentoxide) is 1.2-5.7 wt %, relative to 100 wt % of the total weight of the pseudo-boehmite. The pseudo-boehmite has a low sodium content.
PASTE FOR MANUFACTURING PHOTOCATALYST AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PHOTOCATALYST
A paste for manufacturing a photocatalyst is provided. The paste for manufacturing the photocatalyst includes an alcohol paste and a photocatalyst precursor. The photocatalyst precursor is dispersed in the alcohol paste, and the photocatalyst precursor includes a first metal precursor and a second metal precursor, wherein the first metal in the first metal precursor includes Zn, Sn, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Co or Ag, and the second metal in the second metal precursor includes Fe.
