METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER CONTAINING AZIDE IONS
Disclosed is a method of treating a clinical analyser wastewater stream containing a first concentration of azide ions in solution, comprising at least the step of passing the clinical analyser wastewater stream through an anodic oxidation chamber having one or more anodic oxidation cells to provide a post-chamber treated water stream, said treated water stream having a second concentration of azide ions in solution that is less than the first concentration of azide ions in solution. A clinical analyser treatment apparatus comprising an anodic oxidation chamber having one or more anodic oxidation cells able to reduce a concentration of azide ions is also disclosed.
MODULAR ELEMENT FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTERING DEVICES
A modular element for making reverse osmosis filtering devices includes: at least one first container and a second container, each of which is provided with a tubular lateral wall, with a bottom plate which closes a first axial end of said lateral wall, with an inlet, with a first outlet and with a second outlet, the first and second containers being arranged so that the respective lateral walls are arranged adjacent and have mutually parallel central axes, and a scavenging duct which connects the second outlet of the first container with the inlet of the second container, the first container, the second container and the scavenging duct are obtained as a single monolithic body.
Single-hand-operable Micro Water Purifier
The single-hand-operable micro water purifier of the present application relates to a micro water filter, especially a micro water purifier which can filter water by means of pressuring. It consists of a micro filter device and a raw water pressurizing device. The micro filter device consists of a filter cylinder body, a filter water inlet, and a filter water outlet and a filter material assembly located in the filter cylinder body. The raw water pressurizing device consists of a pressurizing device water inlet, a pressurizing device main body, and a pressurizing device water outlet. The present application can promote the raw water to enter the filter device for performing the filtration to obtain the clean water, by using a single hand to operate, which not only brings convenience to the user, but also saves labor and improves the use efficiency.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING LIQUID LEVELS IN SAND FILTERS AND EFFECTIVE AIR SCOURING DURING BACKWASH
A filter device may include a tank, a drainage section at a lower most end of the tank, a filter medium above the drainage section and below an upper most end of the tank, and a plurality of sensors provided on the tank. A first sensor may be configured to measure a first height of the filter medium. A second sensor and third sensor may be configured to measure a second height of fluids within the tank. Additionally, air is configured to be pumped through the filter medium during an air scouring cycle. A control system may be operational coupled to the filter device, the control system may be configured to maintain the fluids at the second height at a predetermined distance of one inch above the first height during the air scouring cycle.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MONITORING WATER TREATMENT AND FLOW
Described herein is a networked smart device capable of transmitting water flow and quality data to a cloud database, in real-time. In some instances, the device is part of a broader ecosystem or platform comprised of one or more of the devices, associated software and data management. This type of platform enables data analysis of water intake and quality, for a variety of users. Physically, the device itself connects to a water outlet such as a sink faucet or refrigerator intake pipes, and is integrated/incorporated into a flow-through water disinfection reactor as well as a filtration mechanism. Additionally, flow sensors and antennas for wireless communications capability can be included to transmit the data. An accompanying software application and back-end database management allows device users to manage their data and track their water intake.
FLOCCULANT COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
According to some embodiments, a flocculated material, product and method for making the product are provided including providing a methanotrophic material having an amount of 2.68% Total Suspended Solids (TSS); treating the methanotrophic material with phosphoric acid; providing a lime solution in an amount of 0.0212 M; combining the treated methanotrophic material with the lime to increase a pH of the solution and to precipitate calcium phosphate; generating a flocculated material by flocculating the combined lime and treated methanotrophic material. Numerous other aspects are provided.
SURFACE WATER CLEANING SYSTEMS AND METHOD OF THEIR USE
Provided herein are systems and methods for cleaning surface water streams. More specifically, surface water is cleaned using the systems and methods described herein wherein the surface water cleaning system comprises sequential aligned basins which are configured to direct water flow through one or a series of filter media such that the filtered water stream is reduced in organic chemicals and/or particles.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SOURCE OF CONSUMABLE WATER EITHER THROUGH FILTRATION OR DESALINATION
A universal water purification system and method that can desalinate salt water or just filter fresh water. Preferably, the system is portable and relatively lightweight and provides for emergency or recreational safe power and water accessibility. The components of the system can be installed on an aluminum frame and preferably include one or more of a waterproof front control panel, four pre-filters, a reverse osmosis membrane or graphene filter, or electrical process of separating chloride ions from water, ultraviolet (UV) LED lamp, ultrasonic frequency generator, chlorinator or disinfecting gas infusion, a high pressure reverse osmosis (RO) pump, or other desalination process and a low pressure water supplying pump, an electro valve preferably with a manual override in case of power loss and can be activated based on the content of total dissolved solids of incoming water.
