SWIMMING POOL CLEANING DEVICE INCLUDING A REMOVABLE FILTER DEVICE
Swimming pool cleaning apparatus may include a cleaning unit intended to be immersed in a swimming pool and at least one liquid filter circuit between at least one liquid inlet and at least one liquid outlet via a filter chamber removable from the body of the cleaning unit. The filter chamber may include a cover and a filter basket. The cover may include components for fastening the filter basket and locking the filter chamber to the body of the cleaning unit. The locking component may be releasable and, when released, may cause an extraction handle to be deployed from the filter chamber and urged toward a predetermined position.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DEWATERING SOLID PARTICLES IN A CONTAMINATED LIQUID MIXTURE
The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for dewatering solid particles in a liquid mixture, such as those, for example, comprising receiving a liquid mixture, the liquid mixture including solid particles; suspending a filter in the liquid mixture; agglomerating, at the filter, solid particles in the liquid mixture, the agglomerating including potentiating passage of liquid in the liquid mixture through the filter and potentiating accumulation of solid particles in the liquid mixture to collect and agglomerate at the filter; and applying a shockwave to the filter, the applied shockwave operable to remove the agglomerated solid particles from the filter.
FILTER MEDIUM FOR AIR AND WATER PURIFICATION AND DISINFECTION
The present invention relates to a filter medium (10) for air and/or water cleaning, comprising a semiconductor photocatalytic material (14) and a light energy source (15) for radiating light provided to activate photocatalytic reactions of the semiconductor photocatalytic material (14). The light energy source (15) is configured as a support (16) for the semiconductor photocatalytic material (14). The filter medium (10) can be incorporated into a filter unit (100).
WATER PURIFIER
A water purification apparatus includes a water intake configured to receive water to the water purification apparatus, a filter part including a plurality of filters configured to filter the water and generate purified water, a water outlet including a plurality of water outlet ports configured to discharge the purified water, and one or more pipes that define a water purification path configured to guide the water from the water intake through at least one of the plurality of filters to thereby provide the purified water to at least one of the plurality of water outlet ports.
MANAGED ECOSYSTEM UTILIZING PRODUCED WATER FROM OIL AND/OR GAS RECOVERY OPERATIONS AND METHOD FOR SEQUESTERING CARBON DIOXIDE USING SAME
Managed ecosystems, methods for producing managed ecosystems and methods for using managed ecosystems for sequestering carbon dioxide are described herein. Produced water is obtained and purified to sustain a managed ecosystem with saline-tolerant vegetation. The managed ecosystem biologically sequesters carbon dioxide by photosynthetically absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and by decomposition into a layer of sediment on the ecosystem floor.
Inlet filter and method of use
An inlet filter and method of use are disclosed. In one aspect, the inlet filter comprises a frame, filter material, a feed stream inlet, and a filtrate outlet. The frame is configured so an exterior of the frame is shaped like a wedge. In another aspect, the method comprises inserting an inlet filter into a storm sewer inlet. The inlet filter can be one of a plurality of inlet filters inserted into the storm sewer inlet, the filters cooperating to filter a feed stream entering the storm sewer inlet. In a third aspect, a system comprises a plurality of inlet filters configured to be coupled together to filter a feed stream to a storm sewer inlet. The system can be configured so that the width of the plurality of filters is adjustable. For example, a first inlet filter and second inlet filter can be slidably engaged with a connecting filter.
Osmotic system and method for food and oxygen production
An osmotic food production system designed to produce fruits, vegetables, and freshwater from urine or saltwater. In some embodiments the osmotic food production system also produces oxygen. In some embodiments, the osmotic food production system is portable and capable of transporting on a vehicle capable of space travel. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to address the existing problems of food production, waste disposal/utilization, oxygen generation, and water conservation in an efficient way to allow for prolonged space travel or colonization of distant planets and moons.
WATER PURIFIER FILTER AND WATER PURIFIER COMPRISING SAME
A filter for a liquid purifier, comprising: a filter housing having an inlet to receive water and an outlet to discharge the water; and a filter module provided in the filter housing, and configured to purify water introduced through the inlet, and to provide the purified water to the outlet, wherein the filter module includes a carbon block having a hollow tube shape by mixing activated carbon, a binder, ferric hydroxide, and titanium oxide, and the binder is mixed at a ratio of 13% to 23% by weight.
