SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ELECTROCHEMICALLY ACTIVATED SOLUTIONS
A system and associated method for producing an HOCl solution and an NaOH solution includes a generator operable for producing the HOCl and NaOH solutions utilizing electricity and a mixture of water and brine in an electrolysis cell. The generator includes a mechanical fixed flow restrictor (FFR) operable for controlling at least one of a pH of the HOCl solution and a free available chlorine (FAC) of the HOCl solution. The FFR includes an insert having a longitudinal fluid passageway. The length of the insert and the diameter of the fluid passageway are selected to control the pH of the HOCl solution and/or the FAC of the HOCl solution. The FFR is interchangeable so that the pH of the HOCl solution and/or the FAC of the HOCl solution can be precisely controlled.
PRODUCTION OF BARIUM SULFATE AND FRACTURING FLUID VIA MIXING OF PRODUCED WATER AND SEAWATER
A system and method for generating base water and precipitate, including combining produced water with seawater to precipitate barium sulfate from barium in the produced water and from sulfate in the seawater, and separating the precipitate to give the base water and the precipitate. The base water may have less than a specified amount of sulfate and be utilized for hydraulic fracturing fluid. The precipitate may give a weighting agent for drilling.
WATER PURIFIER
A water purifier includes a body part generating purified water, hot water, and sterilization water. The body part includes: a filter purifying water, a hot water module that defines a heating flow path through which the purified water passing through the filter passes and that heats the purified water passing through the heating flow path into hot water, an intermediate flow path connecting the filter to the hot water module, a sterilization water flow path having a first side branched from the intermediate flow path and a second side connected to a water outlet, a sterilization water module installed in the sterilization water flow path and electrolyzing water passing through the sterilization water flow path into sterilization water, a hot water flow path guiding the hot water passing through the hot water module toward a water discharge nozzle, and a controller controlling the hot water and sterilization modules.
EMERGENCY SHED
Disclosed is an all-in-one emergency shed that can supply electricity and potable drinkable water during an emergency when electrical grid power is not available and water sources may be contaminated. The emergency shed can use battery banks from electric cars to store electrical energy for emergencies and can store electrical energy in electric car battery banks that are charged during off-peak times and resold to the utility company during peak demand periods.
PRESSURIZED WATER FILTER AND WATER FILTRATION APPARATUS
The disclosure relates to devices and systems for configurable, contaminant-specific water filtration and treatment under pressure. In particular, the disclosure relates to a contaminant-specific configurable and modular water filter and a water filtration system maintained under positive or negative pressure, comprising modular housings, each housing defining a plurality of reconfigurable compartments operable to accommodate contaminant-specific filtering units in an order configured to minimize pressure drop along the flow direction of the water.
ONLINE BIOLOGICAL MONITORING IN DECENTRALIZED NON-POTABLE WATER SYSTEM
A total biological count associated with treated water produced by a wastewater treatment system may be monitored online in a decentralized non-potable water system. Preventative and/or corrective action can be taken in response to a deviation from a predetermined threshold level.
Method for efficiently separating magnesium and lithium from salt lake brine and simultaneously preparing high-purity magnesium oxide and battery-grade lithium carbonate
This invention provides a method for efficiently separating magnesium and lithium from salt lake brine, and simultaneously preparing high-purity magnesium oxide and battery-grade lithium carbonate. The detailed processing steps are as follows: (1) adding urea into the brine to dissolve, (2) placing the solution into the reactor for hydrothermal reaction, the magnesium ion will precipitate and enter the solid phase; (3) filtering and drying the production to get the magnesium carbonate solid, while the lithium ion remains in the liquid phase; (4) after directly concentration and precipitation, the battery-grade lithium carbonate can be obtained, while the calcination of solid-phase product results in the high-purity magnesium oxide. In this method, urea is used as the precipitant to separate magnesium and lithium in salt lake without introducing any new metal ion, and the brine solution is not diluted. The solid product is white and fluffy powder, which is easy to filter and separate. The extraction rate of lithium is high than 94%, and the purity of MgO obtained by calcination is higher than 99.5%.
Bipolar CDI electrode, bipolar cdi electrode module and water treatment apparatus using the same
A bipolar capacitive deionization (CDI) electrode includes a circular current collector having a central hole and inner and outer circumferential surfaces; a nano-carbon coating layer formed on at least top and bottom surfaces of the circular current collector; and a hydrophobic polymer coating layer respectively disposed over the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the current collector. Maintenance and management is facilitated by a bipolar CDI electrode module configured such that individual parts are formed to be removably attached. A water treatment apparatus including the bipolar CDI electrode module exhibits high water treatment efficiency, superior long-term stability, and easy maintenance and management, while solving terminal corrosion problems due to the formation of a hydrophobic polymer coating layer on the surface of an electrode terminal.
