System and method of solids conditioning in a filtration system
A method and apparatus for conditioning the settled solids in the bottom of a wastewater filtration tank to reduce the acidification of the sludge and prevent the excessive growth of undesirable biological growth.
MULTI-STAGE SEDIMENTATION RAKE-FREE THICKENING DEVICE
Disclosed is a multi-stage sedimentation rake-free thickening device. The device includes a central tank. A diversion sedimentation zone is arranged on the outside of the center tank. The diversion sedimentation zone includes an annular diversion sedimentation screen and a concentrated magnetic shower. The annular diversion sedimentation screen includes an annular groove spirally arranged around a central groove body. The annular groove is sequentially arranged with second spoiler baffles along the length direction. The lower bottom plate of the annular groove is also provided with second underflow discharge port. Multiple second inclined plate diversion discharge pipe is arranged under the corresponding second underflow discharge ports. The outlets of all the second inclined plate guide discharge pipes are collected to the second underflow discharge pipe, and the settled water is discharged from the second overflow discharge pipe arranged at the end of the annular groove.
Top fill reservoir system for water purification system
A top fill water reservoir system that allows the reservoirs to be filled without waiting for a reverse osmosis (RO) filter to produce enough water to fill the system and avoids the need for a service worker to remove the system from the cabinet, or wait for RO filtration, to fill the reservoirs. The top fill water reservoir system comprises a drinking reservoir adapted to store and dispense drinking water. A supply reservoir in fluid communication with the drinking reservoir and adapted to feed water into the drinking reservoir and receive water from a reverse osmosis (RO) filter. An overflow tube adapted to connect an upper portion of the drinking reservoir to the supply reservoir and feed overflow water from the drinking reservoir to the supply reservoir.
Clog-resistant inlet for a conduit of a water treatment system
A nozzle is provided for a header conduit. The nozzle includes an inlet that is resistant to clogs caused by flat materials covering the inlet. The inlet generally includes multiple pathways to an elongated passageway through which waste liquid and sludge (“waste”) are guided and enter the header conduit. In one embodiment, the elongated passageway is oriented to guide the waste along a path that is tangential to at least the inner surface of the header conduit which such incoming waste first contacts. When the conduit has an inner surface of circular cross-section, the passageway may optionally be elongated enough that the incoming waste enters the header conduit along a path tangential to the circular surface. To better assure axial flow of the waste in the conduit to an outlet, in one embodiment the passageway provides both the tangential flow and is at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the conduit. The incoming waste is thereby provided with an axial component. In this manner, the passageway assures that the energy and momentum of the incoming waste is helical in direction. The waste previously admitted into the header conduit is urged by the newly entering waste to continue to flow helically in the conduit. The passageways are provided at spaced intervals along the length of the conduit to collect sludge from a wide area of the bottom of the basin. Because of the tangential orientation of each of the passageways and the resulting initial tangential flow of the incoming waste, the waste incoming from each of those multiple passageways reinforces the existing helical flow of waste in the conduit.
Ballast water, bilge water, slop water, or oily water treatment systems
Disclosed are remote oily water treatment systems, including systems and related methods of remote oily water treatment with point-of-treatment discharge of treated water. In a preferred embodiment, (a) oily water is treated at a location proximate to where the oily water by passing the oily water through a tank containing a medium defined by at least one polymer mixed with activated carbon and (b) treated water is discharged at the point-of-treatment of the oily water.
System and method for water purification
The present invention is a water purification system and method including a treatment tank with a water inlet, a chlorine source, and a heating element; at least one storage tank with at least one treated water outlet between the treatment tank and the storage tank(s) through which treated water passes therebetween, and a final water outlet(s) through which treated water leaves the system for the benefit of the end user. A power source powers all elements that require power, such as the heating element.
Membrane filter apparatus with internally supported filter assembly
A membrane filter apparatus for splitting a feed into filtrate and retentate is provided. The apparatus comprises a body chamber, a feed inlet disposed on the body chamber, a retentate outlet located in the body chamber, a feed distribution tube connected to the feed inlet, and a filter assembly having a filter. The feed distribution tube has a length sufficient to cause the feed to enter the body chamber at a feed distance from the filter assembly of no greater than 50% of a total length of the body chamber. The feed flows across the filter in a direction parallel to a surface of the filter assembly. The filtrate passes through the filter assembly and the retentate flows through the body chamber in a direction antiparallel to the feed flow through the feed distribution tube and out through the retentate outlet.
PhAGR BASIN
A scalable phytoremediation system that uses rock medium supporting a Salicaceae (poplar or willow) tree rhizosphere in a basin with controllable volume and water depth that results in tertiary treatment requirements for organic BOD, pathogens, ammonia-nitrogen, nitrate-nitrogen and phosphorous pollutants and PFAS. COC removal is achieved by pollutant sorption, plant uptake and increased microbial mineralization activity. Phyto basin achieves faster pollutant mineralization to achieve regulated water quality standards. The Basin reactor system uses photosynthesis and rhizosphere dynamics to create a predictable reactor into carbon-rich microbial biomass to remove waste water pollutants (COC). The Basin uses <10% of the energy required for alternative tertiary treatment system. The Basin COC treatment functions year-round including through the trees dormant season.
Fluid Purification Methods, Devices, and Systems
A fluid purification system has cells whose purifying capability can be regenerated. Some of the cells are arranged in series to reach a high level of purification. An automatic valve network is controlled to cycle the cells in a way that levels the loads on each, thereby maximizing the service interval for replacing expired cells, enabling all of the cells to be replaced at the same time after having each contributing approximately equally to the purification load, and operated such that at any one time, at least one cell is regenerated so as to enable continuous up-time.
