A device and a method for removing fats, oils and/or grease (“FOGs”) from water comprise a separator, wherein the separator removes the FOGs that separate from the water under gravity, and a filter wherein the filter removes the FOGs remaining in the water after the water has passed through the separator. The filter comprises several layers having different compositions suitable for removing FOGs from water, including a layer comprising granular activated carbon bonded together and wrapped in polyester.
SYSTEM FOR CLEANING WASTEWATER
A system for cleaning wastewater, includes: an absorption-biodegradation-denitrification (ABN) reactor, a sequential adsorption reactor, a disinfection reactor, and a sludge anaerobic fermentation reactor. The ABN reactor is an integrated reactor including: a biosorption tank, an intermediate sedimentation tank, a biologically-enhanced degradation tank, a denitrification biofilter, and a secondary sedimentation tank. The pretreated wastewater is introduced into the ABN reactor for removal of chemical oxygen demand, nitrogen and phosphorus; the ABN reactor effluent is introduced into the sequential adsorption reactor for the removal of high-risk pollutants; the sequential adsorption reactor effluent is introduced into the disinfection reactor for the elimination of viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms; the sludge produced by the ABN reactor is introduced into the anaerobic sludge fermentation reactor for alkaline fermentation. The system is effective for removing high-risk pollutants and reducing effluent toxicity, which can be used for the upgrading and reconstruction of the wastewater treatment system.
Dual screen treatment systems with debris ramps and screened deflectors
Vaults, boxes, systems, and methods of treatment systems to capture pollutants from storm water runoff and prevent the conveyance of these pollutants from entering a receiving water body or landscape area, which is designed to be a part of a local permanent storm water drainage infrastructure. A single treatment box, vault and system combines both drainage conveyance, multi-level treatment techniques, variable hydraulic capabilities, and easy and inexpensive methods for servicing the system. A flow spreader having a triangular shape with straight sides, or concave sides or convex sides can split incoming water to pass into dual screen filtration systems. Additionally, an upwardly angled debris ramp above a downwardly angled screened defector can be located on both sides of the flow spreader to help direct debris and trash into dual screened boxes. The system can also include components selected from a shelf beneath the spreader, at least one baffle, skimmer, deflectors, media filtration and hydroslide water pressure lines with spray heads for cleaning debris on a sloped floor.
ENHANCED SETTLING AND DEWATERING OF OIL SANDS MATURE FINE TAILINGS WITH TITANOMAGNETITE NANOPARTICLES GRAFTED WITH POLYACRYLAMIDE AND LAURYL SULFATE
Nanoflocculants are provided that are comprised of nanoparticles of titanomagnetite having anionic surface moieties associated with electrostatically bound polymerized chains of cationic polyacrylamide, further comprising lauryl sulfate moieties adsorbed to the surface of nanoparticles of the titanomagnetite nanoparticles and/or adsorbed to the bound cationic polyacrylamide polymers. These nanoflocculants combine the dual functionalities of the polyacrylamide/lauryl sulfate moieties, as well as the surface activity of titanomagnetite nanomaterials. Process are provided for making and using the disclosed nanoflocculants, including uses for flocculating intimate aqueous dispersions of solids and bitumen.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to sewage treatment plants and methods of operating sewage treatment plants. In one example embodiment, the sewage treatment plant includes a clarifier having an aeration region with a vent opening to blow in oxygenous gas for mixing water to be clarified and a settling region with an outlet. The sewage treatment plant further includes a wall system that delimits the at least one aeration region from the at least one settling region by the wall system. The wall system has a channel system which has at least one first opening leading to the aeration region in the region of the water level and a sludge removal device of the channel system in the region of a lower wall of the clarifier for transporting solids-rich water from the settling region into the aeration region.
COMPACT WATER HEATING AND TREATMENT SYSTEM
A water heating and treatment system includes a water heater operatively coupled to a water heater controller, a hot water outflow line from the water heater, and a cold water supply line to supply water to the water heater. The cold water supply line includes at least one of an anti-scale device operatively coupled to an anti-scale device controller, and at least one sanitation device operatively coupled to a sanitation device controller. The mixing station is operatively coupled to a mixing station controller. The mixing station supplies heated water to at least a first temperature zone at a first hot water temperature. Controllers of the water heater controller, the anti-scale device controller, the sanitation device controller and the mixing station controller are co-located at a front of a single enclosure behind an openable door, the controllers operatively coupled to a supervisory controller.

A method and system is provided for treating waste generated from manufacturing operations including at least one of Printed Circuit Boards Fabrication (PCB FAB), General Metal Finishing (GMF), semiconductors manufacturing, chemical milling, and Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). The method and system are used to create zero liquid discharge recycling.
Device for producing biogas with high methane content by utilizing livestock and poultry feces
The invention discloses a device for producing biogas with high methane content by utilizing livestock and poultry feces, wherein the interior of a tank body of a biogas fermentation tank is divided by a baffle, so as to form a main reaction chamber and an auxiliary reaction chamber which are communicated in upper portions, so that a reactant flows into the auxiliary reaction chamber only after entering the main reaction chamber via a relatively low feeding hole and then reaching a high position of a liquid level, and extension of fermentation time is realized, meanwhile, scales formed at the top of fermentation broth flow into the auxiliary reaction chamber along with liquid, so that the interior of the main reaction chamber keeps a liquid state all the time, and sealing and reduction of quantity of anaerobic bacteria are avoided.
