Water-Dispensing System for Use with a Wheelchair
The water-dispensing system with wheelchair comprises a water generation system, a condensate pump, a condensate filter, a power circuit, a water storage reservoir, a housing, a flexible tubing, and a wheelchair. The wheelchair further comprises a backrest and a bench. The housing contains the water generation system, the condensate pump, the condensate filter, the power circuit, the water storage reservoir, and the flexible tubing. The water generation system, the condensate pump, the condensate filter, and the flexible tubing are fluidically connected. The housing mounts on the wheelchair. The water generation system and the condensate pump electrically connect to the power circuit. The water generation system and the condensate pump receive electric energy from the power circuit.
HYDROPHILICITY-BASED WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMS
Water purification systems including an inlet chamber, a purification module, a purified water outlet, and an impure water outlet. The inlet chamber is configured to receive an input water stream. The purification module includes a purification chamber configured to divide the input water stream into a purified water stream fluidly coupled to the purified water outlet and an impure water stream fluidly coupled to the impure water outlet. The purification chamber includes a first hydrophilic surface and a second hydrophilic surface spaced from the first hydrophilic surface. The first hydrophilic surface and the second hydrophilic surface cooperate to establish purified zones of substantially pure water and an impure zone of impurity concentrated water from the input water stream. The purified water stream is supplied by substantially pure water from the purified zones and the impure water stream is supplied by the impurity concentrated water from the impure zone.
Filter aids
The present disclosure includes compositions and methods for filtering a liquid, e.g., water. The compositions herein may include a filter aid comprising a filter medium and packaging having at least one water-soluble portion. When the filter aid is introduced into the liquid to be filtered, the water-soluble portion(s) may dissolve or otherwise degrade in order to expose the filter medium to the liquid.
Process for recovery of lithium from brine
A process for recovery of lithium ions from a lithium-bearing brine includes contacting the lithium-bearing brine with a lithium ion sieve (where that LIS includes an oxide of titanium or niobium) in a first stirred reactor to form a lithium ion complex with the lithium ion sieve, and decomplexing the lithium ion from the lithium ion sieve in a second stirred reactor to form the lithium ion sieve and an acidic lithium salt eluate.
CZTS sorbent
Various embodiments disclosed relate to extraction of target materials using a CZTS sorbent. A method of extracting a target material from a medium includes contacting a copper zinc tin sulfur (CZTS) sorbent with the target material in the medium including the target material to form a used CZTS sorbent that includes the target material.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR DECONTAMINATING AN AQUEOUS FLOW CONTAMINATED WITH MUNITIONS CONTAMINANTS
Systems and processes for treating a contaminated aqueous flow which includes contaminants, such as munitions contaminants including metallic contaminants, energetic material contaminants, and/or propellant contaminants, are disclosed. The systems include an adsorption layer which includes bone char particulates, titanium dioxide particulates and/or aluminum oxide particulates which promotes adsorption of the contaminants upon contact of the contaminated stream and the adsorption layer so as to produce a treated aqueous flow, which is depleted in the munitions contaminants. Optionally, the adsorption layer can be buried in granulates particles so the contaminated aqueous water can percolate down through the earth and towards the adsorption layer, so the treated water can further percolate through the earth. The system can alternatively include more than one adsorption layer, which can be arranged in series or in parallel, in situ or ex situ.
Water Clip
The present invention discloses a filtering apparatus for filtering liquid and dispensing the filtered liquid into a bottle separate from the filtering apparatus. The filtering apparatus includes an elongated housing having an interior for holding liquid. The elongated housing includes an opening at one end and a ceiling at another end. The opening encompasses projections extending towards the center of the elongated housing. The filtering apparatus includes a filter configured for insertion and removal from the elongated housing. The elongated housing receives the filter at the interior through the opening. The elongated housing receives a bottle at the opening and the projections hold the bottle at the opening while preventing further entry of the bottle into the interior of the elongated housing. The interior holds liquid and allows the liquid to flow down through the filter. The filter filters the liquid as it flows through. The filtered water enters the bottle for subsequent use, storage or transport.
COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING DISSOLVED ORGANIC MATTER FROM WATER
A process for preparing a granular composite adsorbent, that includes combining poly (diallyl dimethyl ammonium halide) and a clay mineral in water, maintaining the mixture under stirring, recovering a wet mass, forming the wet mass into granules and drying the granules to obtain the granular adsorbent having surface layer with positive zeta potential. The granular material and methods using the granular material in water treatment are also disclosed.
Liquid treatment apparatus and liquid treatment cartridge
A device for forming a liquid treatment apparatus includes a main part, a receiving part including a cavity for receiving a connecting head of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge having at least one port in liquid communication with an interior of the liquid treatment cartridge. The receiving part is journalled for movement between a first and a second position with respect to the main part. The head is insertable into and retractable from the cavity in the first position. The liquid treatment cartridge is lockable to the device by at least moving the receiving part with the inserted connecting head into the second position. The movement includes a component corresponding to an intrinsic rotation in a plane parallel to a direction of insertion. The movement further includes at least a component corresponding to a displacement of the receiving part relative to the main part.
External water-purifying filter case, installation structure thereof and sterilizing method using the same
An installation structure of an external filter case for a refrigerator is provided. The filter case may include a main body that provides an inner space in which an internal line may be installed and water filters may be installed, and a cover that covers the inner space of the main body and is detachably coupled with the main body. The main body may have an open front side and may include bosses that protrude from its bottom face. The cover may include insertion holes into which the bosses may be inserted. A lower portion of the main body may be coupled with a lower portion of the cover. Magnets may be installed in upper portions of the main body and the cover, respectively, such that the main body and the cover may be coupled with each other by a magnetic force.
