PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIMULTANEOUS CRUDE OIL DEHYDRATION, DESALTING, SWEETENING, AND STABILIZATION
Systems and methods for controlling desalting and dehydration of crude oil, one method including monitoring total dissolved solids (TDS) content at an outlet stream from a crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising water; monitoring basic sediment and water (BS&W) content at an outlet stream from the crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising processed crude oil; determining pounds per thousand barrels (PTB) salt content and volumetric water content of a dried, desalted crude oil product stream using the TDS content and BS&W content; and controlling a process input to the method from a comparison between the PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream versus a maximum set value for PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream.

Floatation separation apparatus
A floatation separation apparatus includes a stirring tank, a stirring pump installed in the stirring tank, a floatation tank into which flocculated water flows from the stirring tank through an overflow dam, a scraping device (scraper) configured to scrape floating substances in the floatation tank, a treated water tank into which treated water in the floatation tank flows, and a pump and a hose for returning the treated water in the treated water tank to a raw water tank. The stirring pump sucks air and water inside the stirring tank, and discharges water mixed with air bubbles to a lower part of the stirring tank. The height of the overflow dam is adjustable.

MULTISTAGE GREYWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A multistage greywater treatment system including at least one separation stage, at least one solid removal stage, and at least one disinfection stage. The at least one separation stage is configured to separate water from one or more water draining device into at least three outputs including a first intermediate greywater. The at least one solid removal stage is configured to receive the first intermediate greywater and dissolve solids from the first intermediate greywater to output a second intermediate greywater. The at least one disinfection stage is configured to receive the second intermediate greywater. The resultant greywater may be provided to at least one recycled water consuming device after passing through the at least one separation stage, at least one solid removal stage, and the at least one disinfection stage.

Method for conditioning and processing whole or thin stillage to aid in the separation and recovery of protein and oil fractions
A method of processing thin stillage in an ethanol refining operation is provided. The method comprises treating thin stillage upstream of a concentration or evaporation step with an aid comprising a sorbitan ester of a fatty acid, an ethoxylated sorbitan ester of a fatty acid, or a combination thereof, thereby forming treated thin stillage. The aid may include at least one of sorbitan monooleate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate.

Well clean-up monitoring technique
Techniques for monitoring a well clean-up process are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes routing a multiphase fluid having oil and water to a separator of a well testing apparatus, separating the multiphase fluid into separate fluids via the separator, and routing the separated fluids away from the separator. The method also includes measuring flow rates of oil and water leaving the separator and determining individual flow rates of oil and water entering the separator as part of the multiphase fluid based on the measured flow rates of oil and water leaving the separator. Additional systems, methods, and devices are also disclosed.
