Apparatus for filtering and/or conditioning and/or purifying a fluid such as water
An apparatus for filtering water has a valve head and a filtration/purification canister removably mountable thereon. Connecting the canister to the valve head automatically opens a check valve in the valve head to permit water to flow from the valve head into and through the canister, and then back to and through the valve head to an outlet port. Disconnecting the canister from the valve head automatically closes the check valve, stopping the flow of water. A bypass valve is provided in the valve head to permit a sanitizing solution to flow through the valve head and along the lines of the water distribution system to sanitize the system, while bypassing the canister. The outlet port may be directly connected to an appliance that uses water, to eliminate possible contamination that may occur when water is brought indirectly from the outlet port to the appliance instead.
METHOD OF FILTERING WASTE WATER
A filtration system (10) includes a filter (12) comprising a receptacle defining a chamber and a granular filtering medium contained in the chamber of the receptacle, the receptacle further defining an opening (22). An injection pump (26) is in communication with the opening (22) for injecting waste water to be treated into the chamber of the receptacle, the injection pump (26) being configured to pump the water into the chamber of the receptacle at a first flow rate. A discharge pump (32) is also in communication with the opening (22) for discharging water from the chamber of the receptacle, the discharge pump (32) being configured to discharge the water from the chamber of the receptacle at a second flow rate which is lower than the first flow rate of the injection pump (26).
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A UV reactor for disinfecting water. The UV reactor may include a cooling chamber in which heat from a UV source may be transferred to the water flowing through the UV reactor. The UV reactor may include driver circuitry operable to determine status information, such as health, of the UV source. The UV reactor may include a gas discharge path operable to substantially prevent accumulation of gas within a water treatment chamber.
ALGAE PREVENTIVE DEVICE
An algae preventive device for prevention of algae buildup in an aquarium is presented. The algae preventive device is useful for eliminating algae growth on all surfaces. Also, the algae preventive device is useful for keeping water clear and can be used on ponds, pools and aquariums. The algae preventive device does not impact fish or plant life and does not require testing of water, high-grade filers and media, lighting modification or chemicals.

Water generation system for a vehicle that implements sanitization by ultraviolet light
A water generation system for a vehicle comprises: a first container to collect liquid water generated from the condensation of water vapor; a filter to filter the liquid water, the filter in fluid flow communication with the first container; a second container to store the liquid water that the filter filtered, the second container (i) in fluid flow communication with the filter and (ii) configured to hold a larger volume of the liquid water than the first container; and a source of ultraviolet light that, when activated, emits the ultraviolet light into at least one of the first container and the second container. The water generation system can further comprise an agitator that is configured to agitate the liquid water disposed within either the first container or the second container, and a cooling element configured to withdraw heat from the liquid water within the water generation system.
Automated water treatment trailer for processing multiple fluids simultaneously
A secure automated water treatment trailer and method of inserting chemical in a pipeline, the trailer having a frame with at least one axle and a tongue, a base, a plurality of connected walls, a weather proof top engaging each of the plurality of connected walls opposite the base forming an enclosure, a pair of locking doors, a plurality of discharge ports, a plurality of suction ports, a charging port, a skid, a plurality of a controller in communication with each of the pumps and a network, a plurality of pressure gauges, a generator, a plurality of valves, and a plurality of back pressure valves. The secure automated water treatment trailer automatically processes multiple fluids simultaneously into the pipeline. Each fluid has fluid characteristics and a specific gravity.
Waste management system
A waste management system for plastic or other material floating on the surface and in the subsurface of a body of water. A shredding device will reduce the size of the particles of waste. Ocean water is removed by a drying device. The dried waste material is frozen to a temperature at or below minus fifty degrees Fahrenheit, using liquid nitrogen or other suitable means. The frozen waste material is then pulverized and ground into a powder. The powder may then be sprayed into a gas-filled chamber and heated. Temperature, pressure and humidity are maintained within the chamber for more than one minute. Microwave or other radiation and catalysts may be used to enhance the process of extraction. The processed material is then removed from the chamber. Carbon may be recycled or used as fuel by the ship. Water may be used by the ship or returned to the ocean.
Fluid treatment system
A fluid treatment system for treating a fluid, the system including structure for moving a fluid therethrough the system, the structure for moving the fluid including a first inlet and a first outlet, further a primary fluid filter having a primary fluid filter inlet and a primary fluid filter outlet, wherein the primary fluid filter inlet is in fluid communication with the first outlet. Included with the system is a primary ultraviolet light module having a primary ultraviolet light module inlet and a primary ultraviolet light module outlet, wherein the primary ultraviolet light module inlet is in fluid communication with the primary fluid filter outlet and a secondary fluid filter having a secondary fluid filter inlet and a secondary fluid filter outlet, wherein the secondary fluid filter inlet is in fluid communication with the primary ultraviolet light module outlet, wherein the secondary fluid filter outlet discharges a first treated fluid.
ADAPTIVE CATALYTIC TECHNOLOGY WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
This Adaptive Catalytic Technology (ACT) water treatment invention uses a series of integrated sequential modular advanced technologies to treat and eliminate or reduce suspended solids, hardness, heavy metals, organic compounds and microorganisms and to provide good tasting chlorine-free sanitized drinking water. The advanced technologies used herein are specifically designed to provide synergistic benefits that minimizes power consumption while improving the overall treatment effectiveness, making it possible to provide a cost effective and sustainable ACT water treatment for point of use drinking water supply for remote or developing areas, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The advanced technologies employed are environmentally friendly and safe. Specifically, the ACT water treatment invention does not require hazardous chemicals that need special handling to operate or maintain and it does not produce a waste stream or generates disinfection by-products (DBPs), such as, trihalomethanes (THMs) or haloacetic acids (HAAs).
