THERMOMECHANOCHEMICAL WASTE TREATMENT

Methods and systems are provided for processing PFAS-contaminated waste via thermomechanochemical (TMC) processing. In one example, a system may include a TMC processing chamber including a milling system and coupled to a heating system, the heating system configured to co-operate with the milling system to process the waste material. A plurality of containers including the waste material in one or more of a liquid-solid state, a semi-wet or slurry solid state, and a dry solid state are coupled to the TMC chamber.

REMEDIATION PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS

This disclosure relates to remediation processes and systems. Disclosed herein are processes and systems for remediation of material contaminated with one or more per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) compounds.

Method for treating an oily solid waste sludge

The present disclosure provides a solid waste treatment method, including following steps: screening off masses having a particle size greater than 0.5 cm from solid waste; adding extraction agents to the solid waste and then heating and stirring so that the solid waste is fully dispersed in the extraction agents; placing the mixed extraction agent in a centrifuge and centrifuging the mixed extraction feeding liquid phase separated by centrifuging into a rectification tower for rectification and cooling, recovering residual oil substances in a rectification kettle, separating mixture of cooled extraction agents and water, continuously adding the separated extraction agents into an extraction kettle for cyclic extraction, and conveying sewage to a sewage treatment plant to treat and discharging the sewage after the sewage reaches a treatment standard.

Biosolid treatment process and system

A biosolids treatment system that treats human biosolids to produce thermal energy for self-consumption for the production of beneficial use products including low carbon ash, high carbon activated biochar, and Class A biosolids. The system includes a variable feed conveyor that conveys a biosolid feed into a dryer; a dryer that dries the biosolid feed to a predetermined moisture content to create one of a beneficial use products, where the predetermined moisture content is controlled by varying the speed of variable feed conveyors and a variable feed mixer; and a gasifier that converts the biosolid feed into two of the beneficial use products.

PROCESS FOR TREATMENT OF SEWAGE SLUDGE AND PRODUCT OF SAME
20230159403 · 2023-05-25 ·

A process of treating sewage sludge and the formation of a granular product thereof, wherein said process comprises utilizing a urea-formaldehyde resin to treat a sludge product from thermal hydrolysis processes (THPs) to create an end product for agricultural and other uses. The process utilizes a high intensity mixing and chopping reactor, which combines the sludge with a resin and utilizes sulfuric or other mineral acid to polymerize the resin. The resultant product is subsequently dried and sized through a screening process. The process results in an end product that is a granular fertilizer that is substantially dehydrated and a substantial portion of the nutrients having low solubility and slow release rates. This reduces or eliminates the loss of plant nutrients to water runoff effects. The novel process results in a product that is a low-odor, enhanced fertilizer useful for the processing and utilization of sewage sludge for agricultural and other purposes.
