The present disclosure provides an apparatus for preventing offensive odors for a drain port, the apparatus including: a plate that is formed in a plate shape so that it can be stably attached to the upper part of a drain manhole, and has a through hole formed in the center; a drain pipe that is connected to the through hole in the lower direction of the plate, is bent laterally from the lower direction, and has a shape in which an end is cut diagonally; and a shielding film that is connected by a hinge to the end of the drain pipe, is opened by rainwater or sewage discharged from the drain pipe, or is closed by a load. With such a configuration, a drain pipe is formed to guide rainwater, and a shielding film that is opened by rainwater or closed by a load is provided at the end part of the drain pipe, thereby preventing offensive odors generated from the drain port and also preventing insects from flowing into the drain port.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR LYSING A LIQUID SAMPLE WITH AUGMENTED OXIDIZING AGENTS TO CREATE A SOLUTION WITH A REDUCED MICROBIAL CONCENTRATION AND PRECIPITATE FORMATION
20230071997 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A method for differentially lysing a liquid sample or target material using an augmented oxidizing agent (AOA), which includes a quantity of electronically modified oxygen derivatives (EMODs). The method reduces or eliminates total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), Biologic Oxygen Demand (BOD), microbial concentration, biofilms and other content in the liquid target material known or suspected to contain animal fluids, blood and blood cells and suspected or known to contain eukaryotic cells, microbial cells, bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi, prions, organic matter, minerals, proteins or associated structures. The BOD, TDS and TSS can be lowered or eliminated as desired. This action is directly proportional to the quantity of EMODs in the AOS applied to the liquid target material.

COLOR REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230150839 · 2023-05-18 ·

An improved bioretention system and color removal method combines Water Treatment Residuals (WTRs) with biochar, to provide a color removal effect, especially one beyond what could be achieved with the WTRs or biochar alone. WTRs are commonly used in drinking water treatment plants and can include the material both in its fresh or aged form. Biochar is formed by the pyrolysis of organic material. Water, such as stormwater or surface water can be directed to flow over a color removal media of WTRs and biochar to remove the color, especially color caused by tannins from the water.
