WATER PURIFICATION HOUSING AND RAINWATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM USING THE SAME
20220387909 · 2022-12-08 ·

The present invention relates to a water purification housing capable of purifying water and a rainwater purification system using the same. The water purification housing according to the present invention comprises a means that can filter treated water by filling filter media in a housing body and then passing the treated water through the filter media and a mean that can remove residue caught in the filter media as a result of the use of the filter media by collecting the residue in a sediment discharge container positioned at a bottom portion of the housing body. The rainwater purification system according to the present invention comprises a means that connects and installs several water purification housings and an additional filtration means including fiber filter and UV lamp which can filter materials that cannot be filtered only by the filter media at the end thereof.

STRUCTURAL DRAIN TRAP FOR PREVENTING SPREAD OF PATHOGENS BETWEEN FLOORS
20220389702 · 2022-12-08 ·

Disclosed herein is a structural drain trap for preventing spread of pathogens between floors, which has an improved structure in which it includes a cover and an outer chamber that are easily coupled to and decoupled from each other and provides a drain line configured to have a double structure at inner and outer portions thereof. Therefore, it is possible to prevent pathogens such as Coronavirus as well as odors or pests from flowing backward as much as possible, and thus to prevent pathogens from spreading through the gap between the floors of buildings such as apartments.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN GAS IN AN ELECTROLYTIC CELL
20220380910 · 2022-12-01 ·

A method and apparatus for producing hydrogen gas whereby a nanobubble generator introduces nanobubbles at a concentration of at least 10.sup.7 nanobubbles per cm.sup.3 into an electrolytic cell comprising a pair of electrodes and a hydrogen-containing, electrolyzable liquid, and the electrolytic cell is operated to produce hydrogen gas.

Methods and systems for electrochemical oxidation of polyfluoroalkyl and perfluroalkyl contaminants

The present disclosure provides methods, electrodes, and systems for electrochemical oxidation of polyfluoroalkyl and perfluroalkyl (PFAS) contaminants using Magnéli phase titanium suboxide ceramic electrodes/membranes. Magneli phase titanium suboxide ceramic electrodes/membranes can be porous and can be included in reactive electrochemical membrane filtration systems for filtration, concentration, and oxidation of PFASs and other contaminants.

ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT FOAMED GLASS AGGREGATES FOR RESILIENCY PLANNING PROJECTS

Systems and methods are disclosed for coastal resiliency amelioration or other flooding amelioration, comprising adding a layer of foamed glass aggregates to a property to raise its elevation, wherein the surcharge on an underlying soil of the property is not increased. In some embodiments, the surcharge on an underlying soil of the property is decreased (e.g., a negative surcharge). Systems and methods are also disclosed for increasing the stormwater storage capacity of a property, comprising, adding a layer of foamed glass aggregates to the property.

RAINWATER PROCESSING SYSTEM AND PROCESSING STEPS FOR PRODUCING POTABLE FUNCTIONAL WATER

A method and rainwater processing system are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes collecting rainwater, filtering the collected rainwater, and ozonating the filtered collected rainwater to produce potable water. The method includes preparing a functional water, the preparing including adding a salt concentrate to at least a portion of the potable water within a processing tank to create a mixture.

Method for Treating Reducible Compound Residues Using Iron-Containing Bioreactor
20230055262 · 2023-02-23 ·

An iron containing bioreactor for treating explosive compounds and other organics in contaminated surface water is disclosed. The bioreactor can be located either on-ground or in-ground at a location across which contaminated surface water flows. In one configuration the reactor is made up of (i) indigenous microbes, (ii) acetate, (iii) a low density iron-containing bed, and contains anaerobic zones in at least one portion of the flowpath. The reactor reduces the concentration of explosive compounds to below 10 ppb and also maintains this explosive compound reduction level for a period of at least one year without replenishing the microbes or iron.

SURFACE WATER CLEANING SYSTEMS AND METHOD OF THEIR USE

Provided herein are systems and methods for cleaning surface water streams. More specifically, surface water is cleaned using the systems and methods described herein wherein the surface water cleaning system comprises sequential aligned basins which are configured to direct water flow through one or a series of filter media such that the filtered water stream is reduced in organic chemicals and/or particles.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR UREA ELECTROLYSIS WITH CONTROLLED ALKALINITY
20220363572 · 2022-11-17 ·

Apparatus and method for electrolysis of urea is capable of removing urea from waste-water generated by human urine or agricultural run-off while simultaneously producing cleaner water and hydrogen gas. The apparatus and method employ at least one water reduction electrode located close to at least one urea oxidation electrode. The water reduction electrode operates to generate a locally high pH such that the urea oxidation electrode operates in a locally high pH envelope where it can perform its reaction efficiently to break down the urea with little or no impact on the pH of the bulk solution.

ADAPTIVE BUILDING ENVELOPES
20220364352 · 2022-11-17 ·

Adaptive buildings and building envelopes having a system of structural members which also function as one or more selectively independent fluidic transport systems. Fluids to be transported such as air, rainwater, potable water, irrigation water, and/or gray water, are moved about the adaptive buildings via the various fluidic transport systems to locations disposed about the adaptive buildings where they are used as needed. Such fluids are also selectively filtered and cleaned by a plurality of filter plate systems disposed about the structure.
