Windshield washer cowling
A windshield cowling and system for collecting and conditioning rainwater from the windshield of a vehicle and utilizing the collected fluid to replenish the fluids in a conventional windshield washer reservoir. Rainwater from the windshield cowling is directed through a leading edge to a conditioning cartridge capable of treating the fluid with a surfactant to form a mixed fluid. Hatches in the cowling allow access to the existing windshield washer fluid reservoir. The conditioning cartridge is disposable and accessible directly through the cowling.
SYSTEM FOR REMOVING POLYMER PELLETS AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS FROM WATER RESERVOIRS
Systems for removing debris from a water reservoir include a moveable floating skimmer device positioned within the water reservoir and configured to receive floating debris, the skimmer device comprising an adjustable weir for capturing the debris and a receptacle for containing the debris; a discharge pipe connected to the skimmer device, the discharge pipe configured to receive the debris and a first portion of water from the receptacle in the skimmer device; a debris separator fluidly connected to the discharge pipe and configured to receive the debris and the first portion of water from the discharge pipe, the debris separator further configured to separate the debris from the first portion of water; a pump positioned between the discharge pipe and the debris separator and configured to transport the debris and the first portion of water in the discharge pipe to the debris separator via a pump outlet; and a recycle line connected to the debris separator and configured to return a second portion of water that exits the debris separator back to the water reservoir.
ARTICLE AND METHOD OF REMOVING MICROPLASTICS AND OIL
An article Including a support matrix including a plurality of pores, a metal oxide and a clay, wherein the metal oxide and the clay are disposed on the support matrix or within the plurality of pores of the support matrix, and a method of removing a hydrocarbon fluid and microplastics from an aqueous fluid by immersing the article into the aqueous fluid.
Methods and systems for streaming current analyzer calibration and reporting
Disclosed are methods and systems that facilitate more accurate measurement of the turbidity, i.e., insoluble ion content, of source water streams in water treatment processes, and in turn more accurate dosing of metal salt coagulants to cause these insoluble ions to floc and precipitate from the source water stream. Methods and systems for calibration of streaming current sensors used for such turbidity/insoluble ion content measurement are also disclosed.
Oil-absorbent skimmers
Oil-absorbent skimmers of the present invention include an upper oil-absorbent flotation head that floats on water and several absorbent strands attached to the underside of the flotation head. The flotation head has a liquid-permeable cover with absorbent strips inside. The absorbent strips and strands are made of oil-absorbing materials that resist absorption of water. The passive oil-absorbent skimmers may be free-floating and may be used in stormwater catch basins, water holding tanks, vaults, sumps, bilges and the like for capturing hydrocarbons such as oil and oil-based liquids.
Switching flow water source heater chiller
A switching flow source system includes a switching flow apparatus and a source loop and a production loop that are in fluid communication with the switching flow apparatus. In a cooling mode a first heat exchanger, acting as a condenser, is fluidly connected to the source loop and a second heat exchanger, acting as an evaporator, is fluidly connected to the production loop. The switching flow source system can be switched to a heating mode by operating valves within the switching flow apparatus. In the heating mode the first heat exchanger is switched to being fluidly connected to the production loop while the second heat exchanger is switched to being fluidly connected to the source loop.
COMPOSITE TEXTILE CONSISTING OF NATURAL AND/OR SYNTHETIC AND/OR ARTIFICIAL FIBRES AND LIGNOCELLULOSIC PARTICLES
The invention relates to a composite textile consisting of natural and/or synthetic and/or artificial fibres and lignocellulosic particles entangled between said fibres, comprising more than 30 wt. % of said lignocellulosic particles. The invention also relates to the method for the production thereof and to the uses of same.
Regenerative stormwater conveyance system and method
A regenerative stormwater conveyance (RSC) system for treating and dispersing stormwater runoff is disclosed which includes an upstream entry point where water enters the system and an entry pool downstream from the entry point that collects water from the entry point. The RSC system includes one or more shallow aquatic beds that receive water from the entry pool in a serial manner and each of which includes a filtration structure for filtering water from the aquatic bed. Riffle weir grade control structures are positioned between the aquatic beds and transition water overflowing from each upstream aquatic bed to a downstream aquatic bed. Accordingly, collected stormwater runoff traverses the series of aquatic beds and riffle weir grading structures and is treated and safely detained, thus, conveying stormwater to groundwater through infiltration.
COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR TREATING AND REMEDIATING AQUEOUS WASTE STREAMS
An apparatus for treating a stream of contaminated water having an elevated concentration of at least one of light metals, heavy metals, sulfates that includes at least one process fluid inlet communicating with a process conduit; at least one electrode reaction vessel in fluid communication with the process conduit, the reaction vessel having an interior chamber and at least one electrode positioned in the reaction chamber, the electrode powered by a alternating current source; and at least one magnetic field reaction vessel in fluid communication with the process conduit, the magnetic field reaction vessel having an outwardly oriented surface and an opposed inwardly oriented surface, the magnetic field reaction vessel having at least one magnet in contact with the inwardly oriented surface of the magnetic field reaction vessel.
FILTERING SYSTEM FOR REMOVING CHEMICALS FROM FLUIDS
A filter system for filtering a fluid stream is disclosed herein. The filter system includes a first fluid passage, a first chamber, a second chamber, an adsorbing media, and a second fluid passage. The first fluid passage is arranged such that a fluid stream can flow through the first fluid passage and into the filter system. The first chamber is arranged to hold suspended or dissolved solids, pollutants, and nutrients that are filtered from the fluid stream. The second chamber is positioned above the first chamber and in fluid communication with the first chamber. The adsorbing media is positioned in the second chamber. The second fluid passage is arranged such that filtered fluid from the fluid stream can flow out of the filtering system through the second fluid passage.
