Membrane filtration apparatus and process for reuse of industrial wastewater

Laundry, industrial or food processing wastewater is purified to the degree that it can be reused. Water quality is ensured through the final process of reverse osmosis (RO) which removes dissolved contaminants such as mineral hardness, soils and residual detergents. The process combines a ceramic tubular cross-flow membrane filter to remove the suspended solids, oils and greases ahead of the RO. The RO process employs high temperature, low fouling membranes. This enables the RO process to operate sustainably, i.e. without fouling, plugging or membrane degradation.

The invention relates to a method and system for recycling domestic greywater. Greywater is drawn from a greywater waste pipe through an overflow pipe of a sanitary fixture, thereby, permitting greywater to be collected for reuse without the need for complicated and expensive retrofitting and/or reconfiguration of existing plumbing infrastructure. The system and method of the present invention can easily operate independently or be integrated with domestic utility systems to supply these utility systems with grey-water.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATION OF REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
20200262725 · 2020-08-20 ·

Reactive oxygen species formulations as well as methods for making and using such formulations. Reactive oxygen species formulations comprising one or more parent oxidants, such as peroxides, or peroxyacids, and one or more reactive oxygen species (ROS). The formulations optionally contain in addition one or more reactive species other than ROS. The reactive oxygen species and other reactive species when present provide chemical reactivity, oxidative activity and/or antimicrobial activity not provided otherwise by the parent oxidant. The invention provides methods for making such formulation and applications of such formulations. In certain formulations, ROS and other reactive species are generated in situ in the formulation by an activation event, such as a change in pH to an activation pH, a change in temperature, irradiation with electromagnetic radiation or by the addition of one or more precursors or a combination of precursors. In certain formulations, peracid containing precursors are activated by adjusting the pH of the formulation to be within an activation pH range for generation of singlet oxygen. In other formulations, formulations containing peracid and superoxide also evolve singlet oxygen. Formulations containing different combinations of ROS exhibit differences in oxidation activity and antimicrobial activity.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a water treatment system with which it is possible to efficiently share a plurality of water utilization means including a shower, and with which it is possible to use drain water in environments in which it is difficult to secure water. Provided is a water treatment system containing shower stalls 5-1 to 5-4 which, when input water is used by a user, output the used water as drain water, wherein treated water sensors 4C-1 to 4C-4 are capable of detecting a given physical amount, or an amount based thereon, pertaining to at least a portion among the water input to each information processing device controlling the shower stalls 5-1 to 5-4 and the drain water output from each of the shower stalls 5-1 to 5-4. An information generation unit 102 generates information pertaining to the use by a user U of each of the shower stalls 5-1 to 5-4 on the basis of at least a portion of the results from the treated water sensors 4C-1 to 4C-4. This thus solves the abovementioned problem.

The method includes the following process: greywater or wastewater is collected through a pipeline and enters a water collection tank of a wastewater collection part. Lifting is performed by submersible sewage pumps, such that the lifted water enters a microorganism and plant synergistic purification and greening part. Each submersible pump is controlled by one corresponding automatic water level controller to transport the treated water to the reclaimed water-use sites. The device and method provided by the present invention utilize the physical and chemical action of a filler and the synergistic purification effect of microorganisms and plants to purify the greywater, and the purified reclaimed water is used for flushing toilets, watering trees or other purposes.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LIQUID DISINFECTION

The efficiency of water disinfection can be significantly increased by supplying the ozone in combination with oxygen to an inlet of a cavitation pump or a line atomizer. A compressor can be introduced at an inlet of the cavitation pump or the line atomizer, compressing the gas mixture at a pressure higher than the pressure within pump or the atomizer. The compressed gases are provided to the inlet of the atomizer or the pump, where the compressed gases mix with the water and enter the cavitation pump or the line atomizer (where most of the dissolution of the gases happens). The compressor allows to increase the amount of oxygen and ozone provided to the pump or the line atomizer, increasing their dissolved concentration. In addition to the disinfecting properties, the higher level of oxygen correlates to an improved taste of the water.
