System and method for residential and industrial grey water recycling and filtration process and system
A method and process for deploying a stand-alone system for recycling and processing residential and/or industrial grey water. System includes measuring and recording sensor data for indicating incoming grey water quality, deterministic conditional logic algorithm for recycling, processing and reintroducing grey water to drinking and non-drinking water systems in both residential and/or industrial platform. The process disclosed in this filing aims to describe a water recycling system that brings together several sub-systems in order to create a high level process for grey water recycling. The process presents a linear series design in which grey water will pass each sub-system in a linear fashion and will progressively become cleaner as it is pushed to the next sub-system.
Auxiliary gray water source device for commercial kitchens
An auxiliary grey water supply device captures used wash water from a commercial warewashing machine for supply to a pre-rinse station without substantial modification of the commercial warewashing machine. The captured wash water is delivered to a pre-rinse station for pre-rinsing of dishes that will be washed within the commercial warewashing machine.
IONOMER-MEMBRANE WATER PROCESSING APPARATUS
This disclosure provides water processing apparatuses, systems, and methods for recovering water from wastewater such as urine. The water processing apparatuses, systems, and methods can utilize membrane technology for extracting purified water in a single step. A containment unit can include an ionomer membrane, such as Nafion, over a hydrophobic microporous membrane, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The containment unit can be filled with wastewater, and the hydrophobic microporous membrane can be impermeable to liquids and solids of the wastewater but permeable to gases and vapors of the wastewater, and the ionomer membrane can be permeable to water vapor but impermeable to one or more contaminants of the gases and vapors. The containment unit can be exposed to a dry purge gas to maintain a water vapor partial pressure differential to drive permeation of the water vapor, and the water vapor can be collected and processed into potable water.
Method for Treating Fluid Waste Material
A system and method includes an aeration subsystem that excites enzymes in the liquid waste passing through the septic system. The aeration subsystem includes a compressor section that compresses the liquid waste. The method includes mixing enzymes into the fluid waste material, compressing the fluid waste material with the compressor, injecting air into the compressed fluid waste material, and determining whether the fluid waste material is at a desired cleanliness, and if not, recirculating the fluid waste material through the compressor.
Wastewater treatment system
Water treatment systems for year round consistent achievement of less than 2.5 mg/L of total nitrogen from a gray water starting effluent having about 65 mg/L of total nitrogen. The system may include a septic tank, an anaerobic upflow filter (AUF) that receives wastewater from the septic tank, a recirculating media filter (RMF) that receives wastewater from the AUF, and an anoxic denitrification filter that receives wastewater from the RMF. A drain field may be positioned downstream from the denitrification filter for ultimate disposal of the wastewater. The AUF may reduce the biological oxygen demand (BOD), although its presence also aids the combination of the RMF and denitrification filter that follow to consistently achieve <2.5 mg/L of total nitrogen in the system effluent. An equalization tank, recirculation tank, one or more recycle loops, and various pump stations may also be included. The system may be configured as a two-stage system.
Methods and Systems For Wastewater Treatment
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for wastewater treatment. In some embodiments, a system may include one or more of a pair of electrodes, a first membrane selectively permeable to a first wastewater nutrient, a second membrane selectively permeable to a second wastewater nutrient, and at least one spacing frame comprising a structural element, a gasket, and a flow channel. In some embodiments, the system may further include a septic tank.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FILTER RESIDUE TREATMENT
The present invention provides to a filter residue treatment device, comprising a means for supplying a pressurized fluid, a housing comprising a) a first inlet for the introduction of a medium different from the pressurized fluid and comprising a filter residue and b) a second inlet for the introduction of the pressurized fluid and an inflatable or flexible means comprised in the housing and configured and arranged for being operated by the pressurized fluid such that in an inflated or flexed state it pushes the filter residue comprised in the medium introduced through the inlet towards a filter means.
Fats, oil and grease collection
A FOG (Fats, Oil and Grease) collector (100, 100) includes at least one floating member (110, 110) which is configured operatively to float in an effluent containing zone. The FOG collector has at least one heating arrangement (112) configured to warm effluent (150) in the effluent containing zone, thereby liquifying, at least partially, FOG (152) in the effluent. The FOG collector has collecting arrangement (114, 114) configured to draw in at least some of the warmed effluent including the liquified FOG out of the effluent containing zone for further treatment, processing and/or separation.
Exclusion Zone Filtration
A polar liquid mixture containing suspended or dissolved particles or solute is exposed to air or a hydrophilic surface. An exclusion zone having a reduced concentration of particles or solute is formed in the polar liquid adjacent to the interface with air or the hydrophilic surface. One or more fractions of purified polar liquid and/or concentrated particles or solute are collected. A sensor can provide feedback to the collector.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATION OF POINT OF USE REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES
Systems and methods for generating reactive oxygen species formulations useful in various oxidation applications. Exemplary formulations include singlet oxygen or superoxide and can also contain hydroxyl radicals or hydroperoxy radicals, among others. Formulations can contain other reactive species, including other radicals. Exemplary formulations containing peracids are activated to generate singlet oxygen. Exemplary formulations include those containing a mixture of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide. Exemplary formulations include those in which one or more components of the formulation are generated electrochemically. Formulations of the invention containing reactive oxygen species can be further activated to generate reactive oxygen species using activation chosen from a Fenton or Fenton-like catalyst, ultrasound, ultraviolet radiation or thermal activation. Exemplary applications of the formulations of the invention among others include: cleaning in place applications, water treatment, soil decontamination and flushing of well casings and water distribution pipes.
