BIOREACTOR GARDEN WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
20230331608 · 2023-10-19 ·

A wastewater treatment system for households, individual buildings, hotels, neighborhoods, and wastewater treatment plants is designed to treat wastewater effluent from an initial treatment system such as a septic tank or a primary or secondary treatment system. A self-regenerating bioreactor garden is connected in series with the initial treatment system. The self-regenerating bioreactor garden receives untreated or minimally treated wastewater effluent from the initial treatment system and is designed to dramatically reduce the volume and concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus, biological oxygen demand, and suspended sediments in the wastewater effluent so that the treated wastewater effluent can be discharged directly into leach field, seepage pit, injection well, or another surrounding environment. The self-regenerating bioreactor garden can meet or exceed the applicable requirements of National Sanitation Foundation, including NSF 245 and NSF 40, and equivalent standards.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EFFICIENT NITROGEN AND CARBON REMOVAL AND PHOSPHORUS RECOVERY OF SOURCE-SEPARATED FRESH URINE BY BIOCHEMICAL COMBINATION

Disclosed are a system and method for efficient nitrogen and carbon removal and phosphorus recovery of source-separated fresh urine by biochemical combination. The system includes a functionally zoned membrane aerated biofilm reactor for in-situ nitrogen and carbon removal, a source separation toilet, a source-separated urine storage tank, a phosphorus recovery reactor, a calcium salt solution tank, a water production tank, and a control system. The membrane aerated biofilm reactor is divided into an upper part and a lower part, a micro-aerobic environment is formed in the upper part while an anaerobic environment is formed in the lower part, and thus nitrogen and carbon can be removed only in the membrane aerated biofilm reactor. The system disclosed by the present disclosure can achieve the goal of removing nitrogen and carbon by 95% and more without additional carbon source, and can meet the demand of in-situ sewage treatment on a train.

WASTE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USE

Various aspects of this disclosure relate to toilet systems that include compositions to inhibit wastewater from freezing in a waste tank of a toilet. A first fluid treatment composition comprises a salt that is introduced into the waste tank. A second fluid treatment composition is a solid composite that also comprises a salt and that is introduced into a urinal in fluid communication with the waste tank.

EFFICIENT AND STABLE MAGNETIC NANOFIBER MEMBRANE AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF

The present disclosure provides an efficient and stable magnetic nanofiber membrane and a preparation method and use thereof, and belongs to the technical field of composites. The preparation method includes the following steps: dissolving polyacrylonitrile or polystyrene, nZVI particles, and n-octyltrimethylammonium bromide in N,N-dimethylformamide, and mixing uniformly to obtain a spinning solution; subjecting the spinning solution to electrospinning; and vacuum-drying a resulting fiber membrane to obtain the efficient and stable magnetic nanofiber membrane. In the present disclosure, the magnetic nanofiber membrane has a high specific surface area, a desirable porosity, an excellent mechanical strength, and satisfactory magnetic properties. The membrane effectively exerts a synergistic effect of the nZVI particles and an organic polymer material carrier, avoids easy oxidation of a catalyst surface and easy particle agglomeration, enhances a catalytic activity of the magnetic nanofiber membrane, and improves an efficiency in organic wastewater treatment.

Total nitrogen removal device for sewage and method for operating the same

A total nitrogen (TN) removal device for sewage and its operation method. The TN removal device includes a denitrification tank, a supplementary reaction zone filled with aerobic granular sludge and a sedimentation and separation zone. The supplementary reaction zone and the sedimentation and separation zone are arranged inside the denitrification tank, and communicated through a three-phase separator. The sedimentation and separation zone is located above the supplementary reaction zone. A top of the sedimentation and separation zone is greater than its bottom. A membrane aerated biofilm reactor (MABR) assembly is arranged in a space formed by outer walls of the sedimentation and separation zone and supplementary reaction zone and an inner chamber of the denitrification tank. A side wall of the denitrification tank is provided with a chemical oxygen demand (COD) detector and a nitrate nitrogen detector.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR LYSING A LIQUID SAMPLE WITH AUGMENTED OXIDIZING AGENTS TO CREATE A SOLUTION WITH A REDUCED MICROBIAL CONCENTRATION AND PRECIPITATE FORMATION
20230071997 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A method for differentially lysing a liquid sample or target material using an augmented oxidizing agent (AOA), which includes a quantity of electronically modified oxygen derivatives (EMODs). The method reduces or eliminates total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), Biologic Oxygen Demand (BOD), microbial concentration, biofilms and other content in the liquid target material known or suspected to contain animal fluids, blood and blood cells and suspected or known to contain eukaryotic cells, microbial cells, bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi, prions, organic matter, minerals, proteins or associated structures. The BOD, TDS and TSS can be lowered or eliminated as desired. This action is directly proportional to the quantity of EMODs in the AOS applied to the liquid target material.
