A head covering with a band portion in a shape of a flat strip or loop and a plurality of flat members that are connected to or a part of the band is disclosed. The flat members projects toward a top side of the band. An outer surface of the flat members includes or is made of a material that can be fastened to a certain corresponding type of material. Thereby, the invention provides a foundation for hairpieces having a fastening component that corresponds to a fastening component used in the invention. The flat members as a whole generally cover a scalp of a head but not completely, exposing the scalp through gaps between flat members. Especially, a top portion or a crown of a scalp is generally exposed due to an open-top construction of the head covering. However, as a single hairpiece is fastened to multiple flat members, the hairpiece in turn works to hold the multiple flat members together. When more hairpieces are attached to flat members, the flat members become structurally solid in a shape that conforms to the contour of the scalp. In so doing, hairpieces cover and bridge the gaps between flat members, thereby completely covering a head.

A hair extension system includes an elongated track that is constructed from a single, thin and malleable cord. A plurality of sliding extensions is positioned along the cord, each of the sliding extensions including elongated strands of hair-like material that are joined together along the top end, and further including a loop for suspending the sliding extension from the track. A plurality of fixed hair extensions is positioned along the track at least at the first and second ends. Each of the fixed hair extensions including a plurality of hair-like strands which are joined together along the top end by a malleable ring. Each of the fixed hair extensions functioning to receive the natural hair of a user and spacers provided along the length of the track allow limited lateral movement of the sliding extensions during use.

A hair extension tool simultaneously attaches multiple hair extensions to a recipient's hair. The tool has upper and lower handles that are mechanically coupled at one end via a hinge joint. The handles are moveable, and the coupling has a quiescent state in which the handles are spaced apart. The tool includes an upper arc and a lower arc that have substantially the same shape. The upper and lower arcs are attached to the handles on their convex sides. The upper arc includes multiple teeth, and each tooth has a substantially semicircular concave opening. The lower arc includes teeth that fit into the openings in the teeth of the upper arc when the upper and lower handles are brought together. Each tooth in the lower arc includes a groove for holding a group of strands of the recipient's hair. The upper arc includes a heating element that is activated by a button.

A pre-braided hair extension is configured to be attached to a bunched grouping of hair of a wearer and includes a plurality of hairs weaved into a braided pattern. The hair extension further includes a first end comprising a decorative end of the pre-braided hair extension and a second end distal from the first end, wherein the second end is configured to receive the bunched grouping of hair there through. According to one embodiment, the second end can include a loop. The loop can be configured to receive the bunched grouping of hair there through. The hair ropes weaved into the braided pattern can be configured to permit threading of the bunched grouping through and among the hair ropes.

An apparatus includes a strip of a polymer material having a front side and a back side. A plurality of hair strands are inserted into the front side, where the hair strands are secured to the strip and substantially cover the front side. At least one hair clip is joined to the back side. The at least one hair clip is operable for removably attaching to a user's hair.

In a device for supplementing hair, a first plurality of first hairs has first upper end, which are oriented parallel to one another along a main direction, and embedded and anchored in a first plastics matrix, A second plurality of second hairs has second upper ends which are oriented parallel to one another along the main direction, and embedded and anchored in a second plastics matrix. The first plastics matrix and the second plastics matrix are fixed on a carrier strip having a direction of main extension transversely running to the main direction. A fastening appliance is provided for fastening the carrier strip to natural hairs of a wearer of the device. The first hairs emerging out of the first plastics matrix run along the main direction over the second plastics matrix on a side of the second plastics matrix facing away from the carrier strip.

A hair extension apparatus, comprising: a first base member comprising a first front edge, a first rear edge, a first top surface and a first bottom surface; a sleeve member coupled to the first base member along the first front edge, the sleeve member comprising a hole; a second base member comprising a first end, a second end, a second top surface and a second bottom surface; a first artificial hair section comprising artificial hair, wherein the first artificial hair section is coupled to the first top surface of the first base member; and a second artificial hair section comprising artificial hair, wherein the second artificial hair section is coupled to the second top surface of the second base member.

A hair extension apparatus, comprising: a first base member comprising a first front edge, a first rear edge, a first side edge, a first top surface and a first bottom surface; a second base member comprising a second front edge, a second rear edge, a second side edge, a second top surface and a second bottom surface, wherein the second base member is coupled to the first base member; a first artificial hair section comprising artificial hair, wherein the first artificial hair section is coupled to the first top surface of the first base member; and a second artificial hair section comprising artificial hair, wherein the second artificial hair section is coupled to the second top surface of the second base member.

For obtaining a natural-looking hair without excessive volume compared with traditional hair extensions, there are provided a hair extension and manufacturing & attaching method of the same, comprising a linearly extending base member (200); a plurality of hair extension strands (300) to be provided longitudinally along the base member (200), each of the plurality of hair extension strands (300) including a knot part (310) being a knot formed on the base member (200) and a hair part (330) extending from the knot part (310); and a fixing part (400) to be fixed to a portion of the hair part (330) so as to be adjacent to the base member (200) for connecting the plurality of the hair extension strands (300) to the hair of a subject.

A method of manufacturing a curled hair braid apparatus comprising: providing a length of artificial hair; forming a loop section, a first hair prong and a second hair prong, wherein the first hair prong comprises a first hair prong end and the second hair prong comprises a second hair prong end; rotating the first hair prong; rotating the second hair prong; wrapping the first hair prong around the second hair prong along at least a portion of the length of the artificial hair; separating a third hair prong from the second hair prong; wrapping the first hair prong behind the third hair prong and in front the second hair prong; wrapping the third hair prong behind the second hair prong and in front of the first hair prong; and wrapping the second hair prong behind the first hair prong and in front of the third hair prong.
