METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING HYDROPHOBIC CONDITIONS AND FOULING IN WATER INTENSIVE PROCESSES

In a water treatment system, a pretreatment chemical is added to water stream in a pretreatment process including a coagulation, flocculation and separation to reduce amount of dissolved and/or particulate matter in the water stream. Hydrophobic conditions in the water stream are monitored upstream or downstream from adding the pretreatment chemicals. Dosing of the pretreatment chemical to the water stream is controlled based on the monitored hydrophobic conditions. Thereby a membrane fouling in subsequent membrane filtration stage can be minimized.

WATER PURIFIER

A water purifier includes: a filter module for providing purified water by filtering raw water; a fitting valve module detachably fastened to the filter module to provide at least one of a flow path for a flow of raw water supplied to the filter module and a flow path for a flow of the purified water discharged from the filter module; and a frame including a valve support for movably supporting the fitting valve module to be movable. The fitting valve module is selectively placed in a separated state in which the fitting valve module is separated from the filter module by moving in a direction away from the filter module, or a coupled state in which the fitting valve module coupled to the filter module by moving toward the filter module.

Techniques are described herein for using a high-pressure reactor to separate clean water from dirty water without filtration and to extract and concentrate contaminants from dirty water for use as a fuel. In particular, techniques and systems are described for separating water from hydrocarbon contaminates, other BTU-laden compounds, and dissolved minerals, while also boiling water and condensing the resulting steam into distilled water. In addition, system in which the described techniques are performed can be used as a high-pressure pump for moving the separated hydrocarbon contaminates forward into other processes, such as a high-pressure reactor or incinerator.

Detection system and method for determining contaminant concentration in feed water stream
11892393 · 2024-02-06 · ·

A system and method for treating water containing at least one contaminant. The system and method include a water treatment module such as a reverse osmosis unit. An electrochemical contaminant detection system is positioned in the waste water stream of the water treatment module. The contaminant detection system includes a contaminant sensor and a water quality sensor module. The contaminant sensor measures the concentration of the contaminant in the waste water stream and the water quality sensor module measures one or more water quality parameters of the waste water stream. A processor uses an algorithm to determine the concentration of the contaminant in the feed water based on the measurements of the contaminant sensor and water quality sensor module.

Status monitoring system and method for magnetic filters

A status monitoring system includes a filter cap operatively connected to a filter housing having an inlet port and an outlet port. A magnet is affixed to the bottom side of the filter cap and extends down into the filter housing. A first thermistor is embedded in the magnet and physically isolated from the fluid for measuring the lagging temperature of the fluid due to the insulating effect of the filtered magnetite surrounding the magnet, while a second thermistor is placed inside the filter housing for measuring the temperature of the fluid. A difference between the measured temperatures, t, is then determined. When the t reaches a pre-determined point, the status monitoring system would send notification to its user and inform the user to perform the maintenance work on the magnetic filters.

Electrolyzed water-generating apparatus and electrolyzed water

The electrolyzed water-generating apparatus 1 includes: a first electrode chamber Da; a first water inlet path 4a connected to the first electrode chamber Da to supply the first electrode chamber Da with raw water from outside; a first water outlet path 7a connected to the first electrode chamber Da, and dispensing out of the first electrode chamber Da electrolyzed hydrogen water generated by electrolysis in the first electrode chamber Da; and a charge amount adjuster 10 connected to the electrolysis tank D to adjust an amount of electrical charge to be provided to the electrolyzed hydrogen water. The charge amount adjuster 10 adjusts, based on a flow rate of the raw water, the amount of the electrical charge per unit quantity of the generated electrolyzed hydrogen water through control of an electrolytic current or an electrolytic voltage, so that the adjusted amount of the electrical charge is constant.
