The method includes providing a hair extension having a length of a flexible element connectable to define a head application loop and a length of hair strands having a first strand end affixable to the flexible element; dividing hair on the user's head, creating a part; applying the flexible fabric portion of the hair extension to the part; and gathering the hair the user's head over the hair extension to style as desired.
