High-flow, high-pressure inline saturator system and method thereof
There is provided an inline saturator system and method for gas exchange with an aqueous-phase liquid. The system includes a pressure vessel, configured to receive a first liquid and a first gas from external sources and to discharge a second liquid and a second gas from the pressure vessel, and a gas infusion device situated within the pressure vessel. The gas infusion device is configured to receive the first liquid and first gas, to facilitate gas exchange therebetween, producing the second liquid and the second gas, and to discharge the second liquid and second gas into the pressure vessel. The system further includes a recirculation system configured to direct a portion of liquid within the pressure vessel back into the saturator device, where injection of the redirected liquid into the gas infusion device forces the first liquid into the gas infusion device for the gas exchange.
Water treatment system and method
A structuring assembly for structuring water in a water treatment system. The structuring assembly comprising a body portion, a tubular first layer defining an interior channel for passage of water, a plurality of structuring bodies positioned in the channel and a dampening layer positioned about the first tubular layer. In application in the water treatment system, as water passes through the channel and over the structuring bodies, dissolved oxygen content of the water is increased.
Algae scrubber filter system
An algae scrubber system operates via a flow of water and a power source. The algae scrubber system does not require a bubbler. The rate of flow of the water may be variable. The algae scrubber system includes a screen that is configured to be removed from the system without shutting off the flow of water through the system and without spilling the water. The system includes a main body with a water distributor providing water to a tray. A screen hangs from the tray to and grow light(s) encourage algae growth on the screen.
SLUDGE DRYING SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a sludge drying system comprising: a system input for receiving a wet sludge stream, wherein the wet sludge stream comprises water and solid material; a first dryer arranged to receive, at an input of the first dryer, the wet sludge stream and to heat the wet sludge stream such that at least part of the water in the wet sludge stream is evaporated to thereby generate evaporate and a partially dry sludge stream, wherein the first dryer is an indirectly heated rotating disc dryer that comprises a first output for outputting evaporate and a second output for outputting the partially dry sludge stream; a second dryer that is an indirectly heated rotating disc dryer and is arranged to receive, at a first input of the second dryer, a stream that is dependent on the partially dry sludge stream output from the first dryer and to receive, at a second input of the second dryer, the evaporate from the first dryer, wherein the second dryer is arranged to use to the received evaporate to indirectly heat the received stream at the first input to thereby generate and output a substantially dry sludge stream; and a system output for outputting at least part of the substantially dry sludge stream from the system.
ENGINEERED CALCIUM ALGINATE AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to biodegradable materials and methods of removing using the biodegradable materials to remove phosphorus from water. Additionally, the biodegradable materials may be used as a fertilizer.
System and method for using subterranean biological reactors
A system and method using a subterranean biological reactor can include a pre-reactor storage unit configured to receive a feedstock including a slurry of biologically derived material and at least one pump configured to pump the effluent from the pre-reactor storage unit. The system may include at least one wellbore containing a subterranean biological reactor configured to receive the effluent from the pre-reactor storage unit. At least a portion of the subterranean biological reactor may be configured to perform anaerobic digestion upon the effluent to generate a biogas.
Methods for anaerobic waste digestion
Methods for generating methane from animal waste by anaerobic digestion using bacteria. A screen separator removes suspended solids greater in size than a predetermined size ranging from about 50μ to about 150μ. An electrocoagulation unit electrochemically hydrolyses the waste, causing particles to settle out. A dissolved carbon air flotation has a CO.sub.2 bubbler for separating large particles from small particles by flotation. An anaerobic digester produces biogas. The digester has a biocurtain for growing the bacteria and a heat exchanger for heating the bacteria. The biocurtain surface is convoluted to retain the bacteria. A membrane module removes CO.sub.2. A knock out pot for removes droplets of water. A scrubber removes water vapor, particulates, and contaminant gas. A compressor boosts pressure. A gas chromatograph monitors the biogas composition. A flare skid lowers excess pressure for safety. Biogas is injected into a local pipeline system. A process control is used for controlling the anaerobic waste digestion system.
HANG ON BACK FILTERING UNIT FOR AQUARIUM TANK
A filtering unit (1) for aquariums of the hang on back type comprising: a housing (6); a suction pipe (2) provided with a lower inlet (3); and a pump (5) integral with said housing (6) and configured to determine a water circulation through a recirculation path extended inside the filtering unit (1) between said inlet (3) and said outlet mouth (4), wherein a non-return valve (10) is advantageously provided upstream of the pump (5) to maintain a water volume necessary for priming the pump (5) itself.
RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM USING BIOFLOC FERMENTER AND AQUAPONICS
A recirculating aquaculture system using a biofloc fermenter and aquaponics may include a breeding water tank that breeds farmed fish, a drum filter that filters breeding water drained from the recirculating aquaculture system; an automatic filtration system in which the breeding water of the drum filter is moved and purified; a biofloc fermentation system that supplies and mixes oxygen to backwash water of the automatic filtration system; and a plant cultivation system that cultivates plant with the breeding water mixed with stable and high-concentration oxygen moved from the biofloc fermentation system.
Liquid dispenser having filter assembly
A liquid dispenser may include a container having an upper opening, a pump provided in the container, a pipe through which liquid discharged from the pump is transferred, a top plate having an upper surface over which liquid flows, a filter assembly provided below the top plate, a base provided below the container, and a thermoelectric element provided in the base to cool the liquid in the container.
