COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE REMOVAL OF PHOSPHATES AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
Compositions and methods for removing phosphates, nitrates and heavy metals from aqueous solutions.
FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR PET WATER FOUNTAIN, AND METHOD FOR WATER FILTRATION
A filtration system for a pet water fountain is provided. The filtration system utilizes a pump placed within or along a watering bowl. The water filtration system also utilizes a multi-stage filtering device. In one aspect, the multi-stage filtering device includes a first filtering stage representing copper zinc alloy particles, and a second filtering stage representing granulated activated carbon particles. Each stage may constitute filtering material that is separated into an array of cells residing along a vertical frame or is separated into stages placed in series within a tubular cartridge. A method for filtering water in a pet fountain is also provided herein.
AQUACULTURE SYSTEM
An aquaculture system is provided. The aquaculture system includes a cultivation pond, a water circulation unit, a water quality detector, and a water processing module. The cultivation pond for storing the cultivation water has a recirculation inlet and recirculation outlet. The water circulation unit is in fluid communication with the cultivation pond to allow the cultivation water in the cultivation pond to circulate through the water circulation unit. The water quality detector is used to detect the quality of the water to obtain water quality information. The water processing module includes an electrolytic gas generator and a control unit to improve the quality of water. The control unit receives the water quality information and adjusts the applied voltage on the electrolytic gas generator according to the water quality information to control the gas species and a ratio of the gases generated by the electrolytic gas generator.
Method and plant for the reduction of the concentration of pollutants and/or valuable elements in the water
The present invention concerns a method for reducing the amount of polluting and/or valuable elements through application of electrolysis, in particular of the electrocapturing phenomenon. The electrolysis according to the present invention is applied permanently over time in a polluted water body. The predetermined action area (115bis, 115ter) preferably has a smaller extension than the water body. The at least one phenomenon (125bis, 125ter) is preferably powered electrically through production of electrical energy in loco through at least one renewable energy source (140). The method is suitable for purifying large expanses of water, like seas, lakes, lagoons and rivers, through plants operating permanently, however this does not rule out other applications.
MULTISTAGE BIOFILTER FOR REMOVAL OF MICROPLASTIC PARTICULATES AND BIOCHEMICAL WASTE FROM AQUACULTURE WATER
A water filtration system and corresponding method for removing particulate waste and biochemical waste from water is provided. The system includes a first compartment containing algae in liquid suspension. The algae is usable to agglomerate to the particulate waste and biochemical waste to form algal particulates in the water. The water and agglomerated algal particulates are provided to a second compartment through a fluid transfer conduit. The second compartment includes a set of suspension assemblies, each of the suspension assemblies contain bivalves usable to siphon the algal particulates from the water.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT AND FILTRATION OF WATER
A water treatment system for a water reservoir comprises a collection box; a rotary drum filter arranged to receive gravity flow from the collection box through a receiving line; a primary bio-filter; a secondary bio-filter; one or more connecting lines originating at the rotary drum filter and comprising at least a first outlet line connected to the primary bio-filter and a second outlet line connected to the secondary bio-filter, the second outlet line comprising a pump; and a return line originating at the primary bio-filter and terminating at the water reservoir. The collection box has a bottom and sides defining an interior volume, and comprises a first water intake having a first riser; a second water intake having a second riser; and a third water intake having a third riser, each riser being disposed inside the interior volume and extend upwardly from the bottom of the collection box.
ALGAE PREVENTIVE DEVICE
An algae preventive device for prevention of algae buildup in an aquarium is presented. The algae preventive device is useful for eliminating algae growth on all surfaces. Also, the algae preventive device is useful for keeping water clear and can be used on ponds, pools and aquariums. The algae preventive device does not impact fish or plant life and does not require testing of water, high-grade filers and media, lighting modification or chemicals.
ANAEROBIC DIGESTER WITH SELF-DELIVERY OF ACCUMULATED SOLIDS
Self-delivering digester 100s with self-delivery of accumulated solids are described. A primary waste vessel includes a feeding port for kitchen waste, and an upper output component that connects to a top of the primary waste vessel. The upper output component includes a gas output path from a top of the upper output component, and a floating solids output path that delivers floating solids that overflow from the top of the primary waste vessel to a secondary vessel thereby preventing clogging of the gas output path.
CONVERTING ACRYLIC FIBERS TO AMIDOXIME-CARBOXYLATE CONTAINING POLYMER ADSORBENTS FOR SEQUESTERING URANIUM AND OTHER ELEMENTS FROM WATER
A fiber comprising a carbon chain backbone and amidoxime, carboxylate, and nitrile pendant groups. The fiber may be used for removing uranium from seawater and toxic metals from drinking water.
Treatment of animal and poultry waste to reduce odor
Animal and poultry solid waste material are treated with a preferred lactobacillus organism, preferably plant derived, in a liquid medium, preferably non-chlorinated water for time sufficient to reduce odor a significant amount.
