A fluid treatment system having an electrocoagulation unit for treating fluid. In one embodiment, the electrocoagulation unit is has a cathode with an electrically conductive cathode tube surrounding a reactor cell. The reactor cell is provided with a non-electrically conductive reactor shell having a plurality of perforations, a plurality of reactor beads disposed within the reactor shell, and an anode rod disposed within the reactor shell in direct contact with at least a portion of some of the reactor beads. When an electrical current is applied to the anode rod and the cathode tube, an electric gradient is created between the anode rod and the cathode tube ionizing contaminants in a fluid passed from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet.

An oil stop valve assembly for allowing a flow of water and blocking a flow of oil has a body having an inlet and an outlet, a seat formed adjacent to the outlet of the body, and a float positioned in the body. The float has a specific gravity of between 0.90 and 0.95 so as to be buoyant in water and to sink in oil. The float is away from the seat when a level of water within the body is above the seat. The float is seated in the seat when the level of water in the body is adjacent to the seat. The body is positioned in a container having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The fluid outlet of the container is connected to the outlet of the body.

Provided provides a system for cleaning a hull of a ship, comprising: a cleaning robot for cleaning outer surface of a hull of a ship and introduce seawater including contaminants removed from the outer surface of the hull during cleaning process to the inside of the cleaning robot; and a purifying device connected to the cleaning robot via a hose member, for filtering and purifying the seawater introduced together with the contaminants from the cleaning robot via the hose member.

The present invention relates to systems and methods of wastewater treatment that rely primarily on the use of water treatment chemicals to clean wastewater without the need to use filtration mechanisms. The present invention generally provides a system that is less complex and less expensive to operate than wastewater treatment systems in the prior art.

A system for treating wastewater, such as laundry water or car wash water, using a combination of microfiltration and/or ultrafiltration membranes and reverse osmosis. The system can use these elements to pretreat water that is then filtered by a media filter to reduce turbidity.

A method and device for treating spent wash water produced in operations such as heavy truck washing that includes hydraulic classification to remove fine sand and smaller particles from water such that up flow velocity of water plus solids in the classifier cause particulate solids to be retained in the classifier which promotes their agglomeration into larger particle sizes for easier subsequent removal for dewatering and disposal.
