APPARATUS FOR FILTERING AND/OR CONDITIONING AND/OR PURIFYING A FLUID SUCH AS WATER
An apparatus for filtering water has a valve head and a filtration/purification canister removably mountable thereon. Connecting the canister to the valve head automatically opens a check valve in the valve head to permit water to flow from the valve head into and through the canister, and then back to and through the valve head to an outlet port. Disconnecting the canister from the valve head automatically closes the check valve, stopping the flow of water. A bypass valve is provided in the valve head to permit a sanitizing solution to flow through the valve head and along the lines of the water distribution system to sanitize the system, while bypassing the canister. The outlet port may be directly connected to an appliance that uses water, to eliminate possible contamination that may occur when water is brought indirectly from the outlet port to the appliance instead.
Water straining and chemical additive device for marine vessels and recreational vehicles
In some embodiments, a water straining and chemical additive device may include a filter body having a wall inflow surface, a central aperture, and a peripheral aperture. A return water tube having a tube outflow surface and a tube inflow surface may be coupled to the filter body. An inflow conduit may be in fluid communication with the peripheral aperture, and the inflow conduit may be formed by the wall inflow surface and the tube inflow surface. An inflow filter screen may be coupled to the peripheral aperture. A filter cap forming a primary cavity in fluid communication with the central aperture and the peripheral aperture may be coupled to the filter body. An outflow filter screen may be coupled to the central aperture. An outflow conduit may be in fluid communication with the central aperture, and the outflow conduit may be formed by the tube outflow surface.
Vehicular windshield washer fluid replenishing system
A system and method of collecting and conditioning rainwater and other moisture, such as dew, from a windshield of a vehicle and utilizing the collected fluid to replenish the fluids in the windshield washer reservoir. A collection funnel is positioned on a vehicle in order to collect rainwater and other moisture. Rainwater and other fluids from the collection funnel are directed to a conditioning chamber where the water is treated with a concentrate and filtered. The treated fluid is then directed to a pre-existing windshield washer reservoir.
Water distribution system with dual use water treatment unit
A water distribution system having a dual use water treatment unit. The same water treatment unit can be used to treat water supplied from a fill port to a storage tank during a fill operation, as well as water leaving the storage tank for supply to one or more points of water use during a supply operation. When a diverter valve is in a fill position, water supplied to the fill port can flow through the diverter valve and to the water treatment unit for treatment then to the storage tank for storage. When the diverter valve is in a supply position, the water from the storage tank can be delivered using means for pressurizing water to the same treatment unit for treatment, then through the diverter valve and to a point of water use device.
WATER SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM ON-BOARD AN AIRCRAFT AND METHOD FOR HYGIENIC AND EFFICIENT OPERATION OF SUCH SYSTEM
A method and system for operating an aircraft on-board water supply and distribution system for supplying water includes a central water tank, first consumer assembly with a supply device and buffer tank to supply fluid via the supply device. Each buffer tank has a treatment inlet for receiving a treatment medium into the buffer tank. A pump has an upstream side and downstream side to operate in a supply mode and reverse mode, and a high pressure conduit system. The central water tank is connected to the pump's upstream side, and the high pressure conduit system connects the downstream side with the first consumer assembly, the conduit system configured so the pump operating in supply mode can supply fluid from the downstream side to the buffer tank of each first consumer assembly, and in reverse mode can draw fluid from the high pressure conduit system towards the upstream side.
FUEL-WATER SEPARATOR CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WATERCRAFT
A containment system for a fuel-water separator assembly on a watercraft. The containment system may be used to shield the fuel-water separator assembly from sunlight, enabling the containment system to be located outside existing above-deck compartments. When location within an existing compartment is desired, the containment systems, by virtue of isolating the fuel-water separator from the internal surroundings of the compartment, can be placed in closer proximity to electrical equipment, providing a greater degree of freedom with respect to the placement of the fuel-water separator assembly. The disclosed containment systems can be readily accessed for maintenance of the fuel-water separator. In some embodiments, the disclosed containment system is provided as a kit for retrofitting of existing watercraft.
FLOATATION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF TREATING LIQUID MEDIUM
In one embodiment, a flotation apparatus for treating a liquid medium includes a flotation body; one or more UV lamps connected to the flotation body to be submerged in the liquid medium from the flotation body; and a filter screen connected to the flotation body to be submerged in the liquid medium upstream of the one or more UV lamps. The filter screen extends downward below a surface of the liquid medium to a lowest level which is disposed at or below a lowest level of the one or more UV lamps.
Autonomous water analysis device and swimming pool equipped with such a device
Disclosed is a device for analysing water and a swimming pool equipped with such a device. The device includes: an analysis chamber provided with at least one water inlet and at least one water outlet; a sealed housing adjacent to the analysis chamber and isolated from the analysis chamber by a partition; a data processor housed in the sealed housing; at least one probe electrically connected to a data input of the data processor; an electrical power supply electrically connected to a power input of the data processor, the electrical power supply having an electrical generator provided with a turbine housed in the analysis chamber, the electrical generator being electrically connected to the data input of the data processor.
