COATING LIQUID PREPARING DEVICE AND COATING DEVICE
To provide a coating liquid that prevents surfaces of vehicles, walls, or the like from becoming dirty easily and that allows dirt to be easily removed even if the surfaces become dirty.
A coating liquid preparing device 1 is provided with a cylinder device 5, a liquid activation device 8, and a connection flow path 12 which connects the cylinder device and the liquid activation device. The cylinder device 5 includes a cylindrical body whose both ends are closed, filters are respectively disposed near both ends of the cylindrical body inside the cylindrical body, and ceramic composites are provided between the filters. Also, a liquid ejection pipe that penetrates through the filter near one end of the cylindrical body is provided at one end of the cylindrical body, a liquid outlet is provided at the other end of the cylindrical body, and the liquid ejection pipe has a liquid inlet. Moreover, the liquid activation device 8 has a flow path through which a liquid flows, at least a pair of permanent magnets that is provided so as to face each other, having the flow path interposed therebetween, and an ultraviolet ray irradiation means that emits ultraviolet rays onto the liquid flowing through the flow path.
POINT-OF-USE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A water treatment system is capable of meeting the particular needs of a variety of water treatment system applications. For instance, the water treatment system may include a customizable display, multiple interchangeable filters and disinfection systems. In one embodiment, a vessel containing the filters and disinfection assembly can be easily removed from a base that supplies water to the vessel. In another embodiment, the water treatment system includes a plate that includes at least one electrical connection. One or more electronics bricks with sensors, displays and the like can be removably attached to the plate such that each electronics brick is in electrical communication with said brick. In another embodiment, the water treatment system incorporates one or more stackable and interchangeable filter blocks that direct water flowing into the vessel through each filter media.
Stand-alone ice making appliance
A stand-alone ice making appliance and method of operation is provided. The stand-alone ice making appliance may include a container defining a first storage volume for receipt of ice, a water storage volume in fluid communication with the container to receive water from the container, an ice maker, a pump, and an ultraviolet light source. The ice maker may include an auger at least partially surrounded by a casing. The casing may be in fluid communication with the water storage volume to receive water from the water storage volume. The ice maker may further include a sealed refrigeration system in thermal communication with the casing. The pump may be in fluid communication with water storage volume for actively flowing water from the water storage volume to the ice maker. The ultraviolet light source may face the water storage volume to selectively direct ultraviolet light into the water storage volume.
UV disinfecting system for a dental operatory
A disinfecting system including a delivery unit having a dental instrument holder, a dental instrument engagable with the dental instrument holder, a fluid supply line fluidly coupled to the dental instrument to provide fluid to the dental instrument, and a disinfecting device in fluid communication with at least one of the supply lines and the dental instrument.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR REMOVING DISSOLVED METALS FROM WASTEWATER STREAMS
A photocatalytic reaction unit for removing dissolved metals from a wastewater stream, including a photocatalytic reaction vessel having an inlet and an outlet for providing passage of the wastewater stream into and out of the photocatalytic reaction vessel; a photocatalyst for mixing with the wastewater stream; and an ultraviolet light source for emitting ultraviolet light into the photocatalytic reaction vessel.
PHOSPHOR COMPOSITION HAVING SELECTED SURFACE COATINGS
A phosphor composition, containing one or more phosphors having on a surface thereof a coating selected from silica, diamond, and diamond-like carbon, wherein the one or more phosphors are configured to emit radiation upon interaction with an initiation energy.
Ultra-fine particle aggregation, neutralization and filtration
This disclosure relates to aggregating, neutralizing, and filtering ultra-fine particles in fluids such as air and water. Fluid may be drawn from an ambient environment into a neutralization chamber. Within the neutralization chamber, particles in the fluid may be agglomerated. An acoustic field may be applied to the fluid to agglomerate the particles. The agglomerated particles may be exposed to light. The light may denature or deactivate the agglomerated particles. The agglomerated and inert particles maybe passed through a filter. After agglomeration and neutralization, the fluid may be released back into the ambient environment.
WATER PURIFICATION AND SANITARY PACKAGING
Providing clean water to a population is essential to maintain human life. Short and long-term issues may prevent a population from obtaining potable water. Transporting bulk water or prepackaged water (e.g., jugs, bottles, etc.) is an expensive and resource-intensive proposition. The population may be forced to utilize unsafe containers, further exacerbating the already adverse conditions. By providing empty, biodegradable bottles to a location which are then filled on-site from a potable or treated non-potable water source provides greater flexibility, resource savings, and safety. Additionally, the biodegradable bottles reduce the opportunity for the adverse effects experienced by non-degradable bottles which are often abandoned.
SORPTION-BASED ATMOSPHERIC WATER HARVESTING DEVICE
A water-harvesting system can operate with a material that can take up and release water with minimum energy requirements and powered by low-grade energy sources, such as sunlight, in order to potentially allow its deployment into households, especially those located in sunny regions. A water-harvesting method and system can include vapor adsorption using a porous metal-organic framework. In certain embodiments, the porous metal-organic framework can include metal-organic framework in ambient air with low relative humidity, typical of the levels found in most dry regions of the world.
ILLUMINATED VENTILATION RING FOR A UV-LIGHT WATER SANITIZER
A ventilation ring for a UV water sanitizer unit that allows for adequate ventilation of heat generated by electronic components while sequestering those electronic components from water. The ring can also be made of a transparent or translucent material to allow a user to detect whether a UV lamp within the housing is operating. An improved nut for affixing a quartz tube within such a unit and improved design for draining the unit are also disclosed.
