The present invention provides a system for prevention of adhesion of organisms in water to a substrate in contact with the water, wherein the substrate and the water flowing around the substrate form together a treated region, comprising a generator for producing electromagnetic wave having a time varying frequency, in electrical connection with a first excitation site of the treated region and with an avalanche current suppressor having its another terminal connected with a second excitation site of the treated region. A selected voltage is applied to the generator such that the generator is triggered to produce the electromagnetic wave capable of inducing an avalanche current to shock or kill the organisms. The invention also provides a method for prevention of adhesion of organisms in water to a substrate in contact with the water.

WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

A water treatment apparatus includes: a trough-shaped flow path portion (2) on which treatment target water (W) flows; a high-voltage portion (3) having a plurality of high-voltage electrodes (4) disposed above the flow path portion (2) spacing therebetween in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the treatment target water (W) flows; and an electric field relaxation portion (5) having first members (6) and second members (7) provided so as to extend around the high-voltage portion (3). Water treatment is performed by applying a high voltage from a pulse power supply (8) to the high-voltage portion (3), the first members (6), and the second members (7) in order to generate electric discharge between the high-voltage electrodes (4) and the flow path portion (2). And water treatment is performed by dissolving generated active species such as ozone and hydroxyl radicals into the treatment target water.

Devices are provided comprising one or more insulated hollow vertical pipes inserted into a bed of soil, each pipe having a descending and an ascending conductive element forming a loop within the interior of the pipe. A plurality of such vertical pipes can be attached to a straight pipe, forming a two dimensional array of vertical pipes, in which the loops are connected in series. Further, a series of such one-dimensional straight pipes can be attached together to provide a two-dimensional array. When vertical pipes are inserted into the bed of soil and an electrical current applied to the array, one or more magnetic fields is produced within the bed and parallel to the surface of the bed. The magnetic fields so produced impede downward flow of ionic fertilizers into the ground water, and retaining the fertilizer near growing plants when the bed is irrigated.

Systems and methods for the removal of minerals from conductive protonic fluids

Devices, systems and methods for removing minerals from a conductive protonic fluid and creating oxidizers therein. A non-alternating flow of electrons in a conductive protonic fluid selectively precipitates hardness causing heavy minerals from the fluid. The decrease in hardness causing minerals leads to the protonic fluid moving towards a thermodynamic equilibrium that prevents precipitation of the noted hardness causing minerals. By-products from the process, like halogens, help oxidize other minerals and treat bio-life within the source. Systems include a vessel containing the conductive protonic fluid, a conductive protonic fluid flow mechanism, a power supply, a control mechanism, and one or more reaction chambers. The reaction chamber has at least one reaction chamber wall having a conductive surface and a conductive element. The power supply provides an electric field to the conductive protonic fluid in the reaction chamber such that the conductive surface and the conductive element have opposing charges which separate the conductive protonic fluid into negative and positive ions creating an ion gradient between the conductive element and conductive surface, resulting in a pH gradient between the conductive surface and the conductive element, thereby enhancing precipitation of the minerals on a positive end of the ion gradient.

OIL-WATER MIXTURE TREATMENT DEVICE AND METHOD

An oil-water mixture treatment device has a laminar separator and an electric field separator. The laminar separator has a coalescing tube with coalescing filler provided therein, a separating tube arranged above the coalescing tube, and a discharging tube arranged above the separating tube. The coalescing tube is connected to said separating tube by a first connecting tube group and the separating tube is connected to the discharging tube by a second connecting tube group. The oil-water mixture to be treated enters, after being treated in the coalescing tube, the separating tube through the first connecting tube group for laminar separation. The resulting oil phase enters the discharging tube through the second connecting tube group and then is discharged through an oil discharge pipeline, while the resulting water phase enters the electric field separator from a lower portion of the separating tube for a next stage of separation.
