SCALABLE BIODIGESTER PLANT FOR GENERATING BIOGAS FROM LIVESTOCK LIQUID MANURE
20210292694 · 2021-09-23 ·

A scalable biodigester plant for generating biogas from livestock liquid manure is provided having a concentration tank with a stirrer associated with a pretreatment tank and treatment tanks, a liquid manure pipe, with a heating pipe communicating the tanks with a heater/generator, a biogas pipe communicating the tanks with the heater/generator, and a discharge pipe communicating the tanks with the solid/liquid separator, the tanks being movable and consisting of 20′ or 40′ maritime transport containers open in the upper part, and an expandable rubber dome that seals the upper part allowing only the passage of the biogas pipe, the containers being covered internally with a thermally insulating layer that is, in turn, covered with a reinforcement layer.

BIOREFINERY METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ISOLATED ENVIRONMENTS

A Biorefinery System (BIOSYS) that effectively treats all human activity-derived waste (black water, grey water, and food waste streams) using biological systems and that produces as process by-products: recovered potable water, liberated free oxygen, edible protein cake (with and without lipids), soil amendments, and machinery lube oils. Additionally, the system captures and chemically binds carbon dioxide into microbial cells and associated by-products, thus producing recovered usable returned cabin air.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a bioreactor, a floating bioremediation platform system, and a process for reducing sulfates, in surface water.

Electrocoagulation unit

An electrocoagulation unit that may include an outer shell, and a set of electrodes disposed therein. At least two electrodes are separated from an adjacent electrode by an electrode gap. The outer shell may further include a fluid inlet; a fluid outlet; a first busbar opening with a first busbar gland associated therewith.

Septic system remediation

A wastewater treatment apparatus for remediation of a wastewater treatment system has a septic tank with a lower sludge layer and an upper liquid effluent layer. The apparatus is comprised of a brush that includes a brush arm having a first end, a second end, and bristles disposed on the brush arm between the first end and the second end. The brush is configured to be positioned within the liquid effluent layer in the septic tank in a vertical orientation such that the second end is disposed below the first end.

GAS EMISSION REDUCING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING AT LEAST ONE OF GREEN HOUSE GASES AND AMMONIA EMISSIONS FROM SLURRY STORED IN ONE OR MORE SLURRY STORAGE TANKS
20210061726 · 2021-03-04 ·

A system and a method for reducing emission of greenhouse gasses is provided, in particular at least one of methane, laughing gas, nitrogen oxides, and ammonia from slurry stored in one or more slurry storage tanks. The method includes continuously maintaining slurry stored in a slurry storage tank under acidic conditions. The method includes the steps of: A: monitoring pH in the slurry present in the slurry storage tank by one or more pH sensors arranged in contact with the slurry in the slurry storage, B: checking if the detected pH exceeds above an upper threshold, such as an upper threshold set at pH=7, C: activate acid addition when the monitored pH exceeds the upper threshold, D: while stirring, adding acid until pH in the slurry is adjusted to within a range between the upper threshold and a lower threshold, such as between pH=2 and pH=7, in particular between pH=5 to pH=7, or more preferred pH=5 and pH=6, and repeating steps C-D when the detected pH of step A exceeds the upper threshold.

Wastewater is received at an inlet of a nested coil of tubing. The nested coil of tubing includes an outer coil of tubing and at least one inner coil of tubing. The nested coil of tubing includes at least one of protrusions or filaments within an interior of the nested coil of tubing. The filaments or protrusions are radially arranged within an interior of the tubing, and microbial growth that is configured to treat the wastewater is disposed on at least portions of the interior. The wastewater is flowed through the nested coil of tubing. The microbial growth treats the wastewater to remove at least portions of sanitary waste in the wastewater. The treated wastewater is flowed through an outlet of the nested coil of tubing.

Portable wastewater treatment systems

In one embodiment, a portable wastewater treatment system includes an anaerobic reactor in which organic material within the wastewater can be broken down, a membrane filter that receives wastewater from the anaerobic reactor and filters the water to produce permeate, and a small shipping container in which the reactor and the membrane filter are contained.
