SONICATION FOR SEPARATION OF MATERIALS IN FLUIDS
A system can include a multi-material fluid having a mixture of a first material and a second material. The system can also include a first vessel into which the multi-material fluid is disposed. The system can further include a first sonication device disposed, at least in part, in the multi-material fluid in the first vessel. The first sonication device, when operating, can emit ultrasound waves into the multi-material fluid. The ultrasound waves separate the first material and the second material from each other in the first vessel.
APARATUS FOR WATER PURIFYING AND DEHUMIDIFYING WITH AIR PURIFYING SYSTEM
An apparatus for water purifying and dehumidifying with an air purifying system purifies air and purifies condensate water produced by dehumidification such that the condensate water can be used as drinkable water, as a single product, whereby various functions are given to one product. Accordingly, there is an effect that the manufacturing cost of the product is reduced and expenses by customers are decreased, whereby it is possible to improve competitiveness of the product in terms of practical use.
Water purification system and distillation unit
The invention relates to a water purification system and distillation unit. The water purification system (3) comprises an input section (31) for providing water (21), in particular tap water, to a distillation unit (1), and said distillation unit (1) for producing distilled water. Said distillation unit comprises an evaporation section (12) for evaporating said water (21) and producing steam (23), and a condensation section (14) for at least partly condensing said steam (23), producing distilled water. The system further comprises a first admixing unit (32), in particular a cartridge, which is arranged and configured in such a way that it is enabled for admixing compounds, in particular minerals, to said distilled water, producing enriched distilled water, and an output section (33) for dispensing said enriched distilled water. Said evaporation section (12) is provided by a heatable side (101) of a first Peltier effect device (10) and said condensation section (14) is provided by a coolable side (102) of said first Peltier effect device (10).
Waste treatment systems and methods
A method for obtaining grey water excreta includes reducing ammonia content of the liquid fraction in a first porous medium in which the ammonia content is decomposed, and reducing the byproducts in a second batch of similar porous medium. The byproduct may be decomposed into nitrogen. A system for obtaining grey water from a liquid fraction of human or animal excreta includes: a first bio-filter for reducing an ammonia content of the liquid fraction, the first bio-filter including a first vessel and a first porous medium in which the ammonia content is at least in part decomposed into at least one byproduct; and a second bio-filter for reducing the at least one byproduct, the second bio-filter including a second vessel and a second batch of similar porous medium within the second vessel and in which the at least one byproduct is at least in part decomposed.
Apparatus for heating and distillation of fluid
An apparatus for heating fluid and distilling fluid includes a main tank for containing fluid to be heated by a main gas heater, the main gas heater including a pilot light for heating the main tank, a condensing tank for passing fluid to the main tank, the condensing tank containing one or more heat conducting rods that allow heat to be conducted to the lower region of the condensing tank, an evaporator tank for vaporizing fluid received therein, the evaporator tank being heated by the pilot light, a condensing coil, disposed in the condensing tank, for exchanging heat between fluid vaporized by the evaporator tank and fluid in the condensing tank, a holding tank for receiving fluid from a main source, a delaying float bowl tank to receive fluid from the holding tank, the delaying float bowl tank including a first fluid flow regulator for regulating fluid flow to the evaporator tank according to an amount of fluid in the delaying float bowl tank, and a distillate tank for receiving condensed fluid from the condensing coil.
ANTIMICROBIAL CAPTURE SYSTEM WITH CARBON CONTAINER
According to one embodiment, a method for removing antimicrobial material from a composition includes providing a container that contains a plurality of carbon elements such as granules, rocks and sheets. The carbon elements are submerged with a liquid and a composition that includes an antimicrobial material is deposited in the container. The carbon elements are configured to remove the antimicrobial material from the composition. The level of the liquid in the container is monitored and controlled to maintain a submerged condition of the carbon elements.
SATURATED LAYER STORMWATER FILTRATION SYSTEM
A saturated layer stormwater filtering system with down-flow layered multimedia filters is disclosed. The filtering system may include an upflow pretreatment chamber and a subsequent filtration chamber. It also includes a snorkel pipe as an adjustable head control or internal baffles. The system incorporates gravity powered partially saturated stormwater media filters to harness the potential energy of stormwater from downspouts and pumped flows from stormwater catchments to drive the polluted stormwater in a hydraulically controlled fashion by gravity through a series of filter media layers.
SALT-LEVEL SENSOR FOR WATER SOFTENER
A salt-level sensor for a water softener salt reservoir (aka brine tank) may comprise a laser distance detector or ultrasonic distance detector, a processor, a wi-fi module, a power module, a memory module, a housing, and a mounting assembly. The salt-level sensor may be configured to be mounted to the underside of the lid of a salt reservoir, with the distance detector directed away from the lid location. The mounting assembly may comprise one or more threaded elements and complementary nut(s), and may additionally comprise an orientation adjustment mechanism.
A method for measuring the salt level in a salt reservoir may comprise installing the salt-level sensor on the underside of the lid; emitting a signal toward to salt; receiving a return signal; and, based on the time between emitting and receiving the signal, determining a distance to the salt.
