LIQUID TREATMENT DEVICE

A liquid treatment device that achieves an effective treatment by forcibly contacting a swirl flow of a hydrogen peroxide-containing treated liquid with a liquid to be treated that has been processed to contain copper ions or iron ions includes a rod-like first electrode, a plate-like second electrode formed of a copper- or iron-containing metal, and a first treatment vessel that causes a liquid to swirl and generate a gas phase in a swirl flow of the liquid. A pulse voltage is applied to the generated gas phase to generate a plasma. The second electrode serves as an anode, and reaches inside of a supply section for a liquid to be treated. The liquid to be treated containing the generated copper ions or iron ions is forcibly brought into contact with hydrogen peroxide generated by the plasma. In this way, the Fenton's reaction effectively takes place, and the liquid treatment performance improves.

Sewage treatment biological agent and preparation method and application thereof

The present invention provides a sewage treatment biological agent and a preparation method and application thereof. The sewage treatment biological agent according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an induced nucleus. The induced nucleus has good bioaffinity. A microbial flora can be attached to the induced nucleus to achieve rapid growth. As the microbial flora gathers and grows on the induced nucleus, the granulation is gradually achieved by the sewage treatment biological agent to facilitate the sewage treatment. The microbial flora grows on the induced nucleus, and the growth process of microbial flora is a covering growth process which starts from the induced nucleus and gradually expands outward and centers on the induced nucleus. During the growth of microbial flora, extracellular polymers are secreted, which can further promote the granulation process by the sewage treatment biological agent.

A method for disinfecting a fluid includes emitting UV light into a flowing fluid pillar along its axial direction. The flowing fluid pillar is surrounded by and in contact with a fluid medium having a refractive index lower than that of the fluid to be disinfected so that total internal reflection occurs when the UV light travels within the flowing fluid pillar. Also provided is a UV disinfector for disinfecting a flowing fluid.

OCEAN DESALINATION PLANT

The present application discloses a desalination plant that desalinates ocean water. A water gate of the desalination plant is opened to allow salt water from an ocean to flow into an isolated salt water zone. Once desired amount of salt water enters the desalination plant, the water gate is closed to prevent both further salt water from flowing into and the isolated salt water from flowing out of the isolated salt water zone. An isolation wall prevents the isolated salt water from flowing into a desalted water zone. The isolated salt water in the isolated salt water zone is heated by using sunlight and electric heating elements to be vaporized. The sunlight entering the isolated salt water zone is reflected on multiple reflective surface to further heat the isolated salt water. The vaporized water flows towards the desalted water zone, and subsequently cools down to condense into desalted water. The desalted water in the desalted water zone flows through an exit pipe and is collected at a reservoir.

FLUID DECONTAMINATION APPARATUS

A fluid decontamination and apparatus and a method of fluid decontamination, introducing, via an inlet nozzle, a contaminated fluid from a fluid source into a continuous pipe section. The inlet nozzle is coupled to the continuous pipe section that enables fluid flow therethrough. Hydrodynamic cavitation is generated upon exiting the inlet nozzle within the continuous pipe section by spraying and evenly distributing the fluid that induces cavitation formation within the fluid across a three dimensionally open structured (3DOS) substrate disposed within the continuous pipe section. The 3DOS structure is positioned proximate to the inlet nozzle such that the hydrodynamic cavitation generated by the inlet nozzle enters the 3DOS substrate and the 3DOS substrate maintains the hydrodynamic cavitation of the fluid flow into the 3DOS substrate to enable destruction of toxic species and unwanted organic compounds contained in the contaminated fluid.
