Centrifugal pump pet water fountain

A pet water fountain is described comprising a bowl for holding an aqueous drinking fluid. The pet water fountain includes a housing configured to cover a portion of the bowl and have a fluid reservoir. The pet water fountain includes a rotatable cone positioned within the housing, the cone tapering outwardly from a bottom end to a top end, the cone bottom end having a fluid inlet to allow the passage of fluid from the bowl through the inlet and into the interior of the cone, the cone top end being in fluid communication with the housing fluid reservoir. The pet water fountain includes a filter ring coupled to the cone top end, the filter ring having an exterior housing and a filtering media positioned within the exterior housing, and an electric motor coupled to the rotatable cone for rotatably driving the rotatable cone.

Fluid treatment system and process

A fluid treatment system is provided. A clarification reactor or chamber, configured for receiving an influent, is provided wherein separated water and separated solids may be formed from the influent while inside and/or outside the reactor. An influent inlet, positioned essentially at the top of the reactor, configured to allow the influent to enter the reactor is provided. A separated water outlet is provided, positioned essentially at the top of the reactor, that is configured to allow the separated water to exit the reactor. A solids discharge is also provided, positioned essentially at the bottom of the reactor, that is configured to allow the separated solids to exit the reactor. A downward angled baffle, positioned inside the reactor, is configured to deflect the separated solids towards the solids discharge.

Method for the biological treatment of nitrogen in effluents by nitritation

The invention relates to a method for the biological treatment of nitrogen in the form of ammonium in wastewater, by nitritation in a biological reactor, comprising: at least one step a of aerating the biological reactor containing the wastewater to be treated, at least one step b of eliminating at least part of the nitrites produced in step a, and a step c of extracting, from the reactor, a fraction of the sludge resulting from steps a and b. The invention also concerns a method for the biological treatment of nitrogen in wastewater, by nitritation/denitritation and/or deammonification, wherein the nitritation is implemented using the nitritation method according to the invention.

WATER TREATMENT CARTRIDGE

Provided are water treatment cartridges, in particular gravitational flow treatment cartridges, that include a flow restriction element.

Preferred Flow Paths for Spiral-Wound Elements

The present invention relates to a spiral wound membrane element designs that utilize entrance and exit points in the feed space channel and utilize barriers on the perimeter of the feed space as well as barriers in the feed space area to direct fluid flow in the membrane element.

Water-purification cartridge and water purifier

Provided is a water-purification cartridge to be replaceably accommodated in an accommodating portion of a water purifier. The cartridge includes activated carbon that removes impurities from water, forms, within the water purifier, a raw water flow path through which raw water flows downstream without passing through the activated carbon and a water purification flow path through which raw water flows downstream while passing through the activated carbon, and further includes a buffer portion that is disposed, within the water purifier, at a position upstream of flow path switching valves for selecting discharge from the raw water flow path or discharge from the water purification flow path and downstream of the activated carbon and that cuts off a water hammer propagating from the flow path switching valves to the activated carbon.

Method for a water treatment in a system comprising at least one sequencing batch reactor and a moving bed biofilm reactor

The present invention concerns a method for biological treatment of carbon, nitrogen and optionally phosphorus in water, in a reactor system (1) comprising a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) (2) and a moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) (3). The method comprises a step (10) of filling said SBR reactor (2) with water to be treated (5), a step (20) of anoxic/aerobic biological treatment in said reactor system (1) and a step (30) of discharging treated water (35) from said SBR reactor (2). The anoxic/aerobic biological treatment step (20) comprises: a biological treatment (210) under largely anoxic conditions in the SBR reactor (2), producing a first effluent (215), a biological treatment (220) under aerobic conditions in the MBBR reactor (3), producing a second effluent (225), and a continuous recirculation of the first and second effluents. The present invention also concerns a corresponding facility.
