The coarse filter is connected to the first pump. The second pump is connected to and communicates with the coarse filter. The first centrifugal filter is connected to and communicates with the second pump. The third pump is connected to and communicates with the first centrifugal filter. The second centrifugal filter is connected to and communicates with the third pump. The fourth pump is connected to and communicates with the second centrifugal filter. The at least one electro dialysis device is connected to and communicates with the fourth pump. The end storage tank is connected to and communicates with the at least one electro dialysis device.
PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIMULTANEOUS CRUDE OIL DEHYDRATION, DESALTING, SWEETENING, AND STABILIZATION
Systems and methods for controlling desalting and dehydration of crude oil, one method including monitoring total dissolved solids (TDS) content at an outlet stream from a crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising water; monitoring basic sediment and water (BS&W) content at an outlet stream from the crude oil separation unit, the outlet stream comprising processed crude oil; determining pounds per thousand barrels (PTB) salt content and volumetric water content of a dried, desalted crude oil product stream using the TDS content and BS&W content; and controlling a process input to the method from a comparison between the PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream versus a maximum set value for PTB salt content and volumetric water content of the dried, desalted crude oil product stream.
Waste water management
A system includes a first separator configured to receive waste water, retain a first portion of the waste water, and separate the first portion of the waste water into a first vapor and a first solid material; and a second separator in fluid communication with the first separator, the second separator being configured to receive a second portion of the waste water from the first separator and to separate the second portion of the waste water into a second vapor and a second solid material, the second separator including a first condenser, a heating element, and a first electrocoagulation unit. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
METHOD FOR PURIFICATION OF WATER AND WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method and a system for purification of water in a water purification system. The water purification system comprises first and second mixing reactors, first and second flotation reactors and first and second filters all serially and fluidly connected in a flow direction of the water as well as an electrolyzer. During the process, electrochemical synthesis of the reagents takes place in the cathode and anode chambers of the electrolyzer, respectively. Moreover, the electrochemically synthesized catholyte and anolyte are dosed into the water kept in the first and second mixing reactors, respectively. Then the mixtures in the first and second mixing reactors are mixed. After that, the flow of the treated water leaving the mixing reactors is passed through the first and second flotation reactors and afterwards through the first and second filters downstream of the first and second mixing reactors.
Method of treating wastewater
A method of treating a waste liquid includes: an aluminum dissolution step of dissolving aluminum in an acidic waste liquid and performing separation into a first treated water and a reduced heavy metal precipitate; a gypsum recovery step of adding a calcium compound to the first treated water at a liquid property of a pH of 4 or less, and performing separation into a second treated water and gypsum; an aluminum and fluorine removal step of adding an alkali to the second treated water and performing separation into a third treated water and a precipitate containing aluminum and fluorine; and a neutralization step of adding an alkali to the third treated water and performing separation into an alkali neutralization treated water and a neutralized precipitate of a heavy metal hydroxide.
Sub-ambient solar desalination system
The sub-ambient solar desalination system includes a solar pond and a pressure reducing structure. The solar pond is adapted for receiving saltwater and heating the saltwater through direct exposure to solar radiation at atmospheric pressure. The pressure reducing structure is in fluid communication with the solar pond for receiving heated saltwater therefrom. The pressure reducing structure is configured such that pressure of the heated saltwater within a central portion of the pressure reducing structure is at sufficiently reduced sub-ambient pressure to undergo a phase change to produce pure water vapor and a concentrated brine solution. The pressure reducing structure has a vapor outlet for releasing the pure water vapor, which is collected in a fresh water tank and condensed into pure liquid water. The solar pond is in fluid communication with an outlet portion of the pressure reducing structure for recycling the concentrated brine solution back to the solar pond.
