The at least one separation stage is configured to separate water from one or more water draining device into at least three outputs including a first intermediate greywater. The at least one solid removal stage is configured to receive the first intermediate greywater and dissolve solids from the first intermediate greywater to output a second intermediate greywater. The at least one disinfection stage is configured to receive the second intermediate greywater. The resultant greywater may be provided to at least one recycled water consuming device after passing through the at least one separation stage, at least one solid removal stage, and the at least one disinfection stage.

DEVICE TO DISINFECT WATER USING ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT

A water disinfecting device has a housing, an inlet, an outlet, a high-power disinfecting light, at least one quartz pipe that carries water, and a reflective surface for increased dosage. By placing multiple quartz pipes side by side, the device can disinfect greater quantities of water, or provide for double exposure of water passing through the pipes. By using a powerful UV light and a reflective surface from the outside of a quartz pipe, the device is capable of disinfecting at a much higher success rate than other disinfecting devices found in the prior art while also allowing for ease of maintenance.

System for Sanitizing Water in a Hot Tub
20220371915 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A system for sanitizing water in a hot tub is described. The system includes a sanitizing chamber, separate from the hot tub, and sized to hold a small portion of the water from the hot tub. A first conduit for conveys water from the hot tub to the sanitizing chamber. A second conduit conveys water from the sanitizing chamber to the hot tub. A pump is provided that moves water from the hot tub, through the first conduit into the sanitizing chamber and from the sanitizing chamber, through the second conduit, back into the hot tub. A heater heats the water in the sanitizing chamber to a temperature and for a time sufficient to destroy or deactivate undesirable microorganisms.

Predicting spherical irradiance for volume disinfection
11590252 · 2023-02-28 ·

Given the complexity of architectural spaces and the need to calculate spherical irradiances, it is difficult to determine how much ultraviolet radiation is necessary to adequately kill airborne pathogens. An interior environment with luminaires is modeled. Spherical irradiance meters are positioned in the model and the direct and indirect spherical irradiance is calculated for each sensor. From this, an irradiance field is interpolated for a volume of interest, and using known fluence response values for killing pathogens, a reduction in the pathogens is predicted. Based on the predicted reduction, spaces are built accordingly, and ultraviolet luminaires are installed and controlled.
