Multi-injection steam type reactor and organic waste processing apparatus including same

A reactor for processing organic waste includes a steam supply pipe installed in a reaction vessel such that steam supplied from an external steam supply device can be supplied into the inside of the reaction vessel. The steam supply pipe has a plurality of steam supply holes so as to supply the steam supplied from the steam supply device to the waste in the reaction vessel through the holes. An organic waste processing apparatus comprising the reactor having the configuration above is provided. Heat due to the steam supplied to the reactor is uniformly supplied to the waste in the reactor within a short time, and thereby increasing processing efficiency.

Method for Separating Liquid From Suspended Matter in a Sludge and Device for Same

The invention relates to a method for separating the liquid part from the suspended matter in a sludge supplied in a continuous flow at a flow rate of Q.sub.EB=V/hour. The flow is divided into at least two partial flows which are sprayed on top of one another into a sealed chamber of volume v<V/20, simultaneously injecting air therein at a flow rate d, said chamber being kept under overpressure conditions. The suspended matter of the thus treated flow is then left to decant in a collection container, with the cake or solid part falling to the bottom and separating from the liquid part which is continuously discharged.

The present invention relates generally to the field of emission control equipment for boilers, heaters, kilns, or other flue gas-, or combustion gas-, generating devices (e.g., those located at power plants, processing plants, etc.) and, in particular to a new and useful method and apparatus for reducing and/or eliminating various liquid discharges from one or more emission control equipment devices (e.g., one or more wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) units). In another embodiment, the method and apparatus of the present invention is designed to reduce and/or eliminate the amount of liquid waste that is discharged from a WFGD unit by subjecting the WFGD liquid waste to one or more drying processes, one or more spray dryer (or spray dry) absorber processes, and/or one or more spray dryer (or spray dry) evaporation processes.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

A water treatment system includes: an aeration tank for converting wastewater containing organic substances into sludge-laden treated water by aerobic treatment; an ozone supply unit for feeding ozone into the sludge-laden treated water drawn out from the aeration tank; and a bubble detector for detecting the condition of bubbles produced by reaction between the fed ozone and the sludge. The ozone treatment is controlled by utilizing as an indicator for sludge volume reduction effect the increase rate of bubbles detected by the bubble detector, so that the water treatment system is able to vary the amount of ozone feed depending on the conditions of water treatment.

Sludge dehydrating system and method thereof based on thermal hydrolysis technology

A sludge dehydrating system and a method thereof based on a thermal hydrolysis technology include: a homogeneous slurry unit, a hydrothermal unit, a flash reactor, a waste heat recovery unit, and a dehydrator; wherein a viscosity of sludge is lowered by homogenously slurrying before entering a pump, which is conducive to transportation; a sludge tank firstly crashes and then quantitatively transports for improving a homogenizing efficiency; a diluent is sludge dehydrated filtrate which is mixed with flash steam in an ejector, wherein an mixing efficiency is high; during homogenously slurrying, waste steam generated is added into a sludge diluent pipe for being absorbed; a hydrothermal unit include a variety of forms such as an intermittent form and a continuous form, in such a manner that reaction parameters, especially reaction time are effectively guaranteed; the flash steam enters the homogeneous slurry unit for heating the sludge.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMATION OF BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE GRANULES AND BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE GRANULES

In one embodiment, hydrodynamic cavitation lyses influent bacteria, releasing intracellular enzymes, and creates CaCO.sub.3 seed crystals that are discharged at the base of the water column. Bottom-dwelling upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB)-like granules grow in a dense, viscous N, P & Ca++ rich fluid (hydrolytic brine). The brine hydrolyzes ancient sludge and fresh solids into simple liquids. The granules convert hydrolyzed liquids into gas. New CaCO.sub.3 seeds grow at the produced gas/supernatant interface and propagate across the entire lagoon. Once the sludge inventory is digested, there is an excess of granules that modulate their gross productivity in response to substrate load, pH, and temperature. In one specific example, the treated lagoon has no odor, is free of gelled sludge and effluent

Waste solids are treated by pyrolysis at a temperature over 700 degrees C. to produce char and a gas. The gas is treated in an anaerobic digester. In one system, gas and digestate are brought into contact in a diffusion cone. In another option, headspace gas above the digestate is re-circulated through the digestate, for example by way of an eductor downstream of the diffusion cone.

Fluid remanufacturing

Wastewater is remanufactured with ozone in a series of mixing vessels. The ozone is dispersed to both a top and a bottom portion of each mixing vessel, but in different amounts. This creates an electrical potential difference across the height of each mixing vessel which significantly improves the oxidation of organic carbon-based impurities and eliminates H2S and bacteria. Sludge and solids floating to the top of each mixing vessels are removed, as well as sludge and solids settling to the bottom of the mixing vessels. When oil and gas well wastewater is treated in this manner, the resulting treated water is purified and has a high salt content suitable for oil or gas well injection.
