CHEMICAL DISPENSING SYSTEM FOR TREATING FLUID IN BOILER/COOLING SYSTEMS
Powered and non-powered kits for the treatment of fluid in boiler and cooling systems, both open and closed recirculating are disclosed. The kits generally include a fluid container, a fluid connector configured to engage the fluid container, a hose configured for fluid communication with the fluid connector, a port, a fluid container suspension means, and a hose end support member. The fluid container is configured to enclose chemical agents and/or solutions. The port may be formed along the fluid container and be configured to receive the fluid connector. The hose end support member may support at least one portion of the hose at a desired height above the standing fluid to be treated. In embodiments, a metering pump is included with the kits, the metering pump configured to cause a predetermined amount of the chemical agents or solutions to be dispersed from the fluid container.
FLUORESCENT POLYMERS AND SOLUTIONS THEREOF FOR SCALE CONTROL IN AQUEOUS SYSTEMS
Disclosed are fluorescent water-soluble water treatment polymers suitable for use in scale inhibition or suppression of corrosion in industrial water systems, the water treatment polymers especially comprising fluorescent coumarin, fluorescein, rhodamine, and Nile blue derivative monomers. Also disclosed are methods of making the monomers, methods of making the polymers, methods of inhibiting scale in an industrial water system, methods of suppressing corrosion in an industrial water system, and methods of using the polymers in coagulation and flocculation, and in cleaning applications.

Water soluble pyranine polymers and method of making
A method of making a pyranine monomer composition comprises the step of reacting pyranine with a functionalizing agent that functionalizes the pyranine molecule with a polymerizable functional group to provide a composition of functionalized pyranine monomers, said functionalization reaction taking place in an aqueous reaction medium, and in the presence of a molar excess of said functionalizing agent, such that the functionalization reaction product is a monomer composition substantially free of unfunctionalized pyranine compound. The pyranine monomer compositions made by the method can be used to make fluorescent tagged water soluble polymer compositions that advantageously are substantially free of unpolymerized pyranine. The fluorescent tagged water soluble polymer compositions can be used in a method of inhibiting scale in industrial water systems.
MONITORING A CLOSED WATER SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a system and method for continuous monitoring of system health in closed water systems. Sensors are provided to measure a plurality of system parameters. The measurements are compared to threshold ranges. A diagnosis of system health, specifically in relation to corrosion, is derived from the comparison of at least a first parameter to its threshold range. The diagnosis is further refined by comparison of a further parameter to its threshold range. Also disclosed are example sensors and methods, including galvanic sensors, optical corrosion sensors and methods for monitoring the effectiveness of inhibitors in the water system using conductivity measurements.
Ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitors
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of forming an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor is provided. The method includes forming a functionalized azole; forming a functionalized photosensitizer; and forming an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor by reacting the functionalized azole with the functionalized photosensitizer. In another embodiment, an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor is provided. The inhibitor includes an azole bonded to a photosensitizer. In another embodiment, an article of manufacture is provided. The article of manufacture includes a material comprising a reaction product of an azole and a photosensitizer.
Use of phosphino polymer and polyhydroxypolycarboxylic acid as corrosion inhibitor
A polyhydroxypolycarboxylic acid and a water soluble phosphino polycarboxylate may be added to an aqueous system, such as a cooling water system, in order to inhibit corrosion as well as the deposition of corrosion within the system. The water soluble phosphino polycarboxylate may be derived from a phosphinyl unsaturated monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer. The aqueous system may be a cooling water system such as a cooling tower, a closed cooling water system, an air-conditioning water systems, a wastewater treatment system as well as a deionized water production system.
DEVICE FOR TREATING AND HEATING WATER IN TANK STYLE WATER HEATERS
A system containing a device mounted to the flange of a tank style water heater while being connected to a AC power-source and thereby treating and heating the water, within a passage between electrodes in a core, simultaneously delivering bacteria free warm or hot improved water without limescale issues and being 20% to 30% more energy efficient. Furthermore, a method is describe using a pump to deliver the water to the device in connection with a control solution.
Corrosion inhibitor compositions and methods of using same
Disclosed herein are phosphoester anticorrosion compositions comprising an adduct of an alkylphenol ethoxylate phosphate ester with 1,3,5,7-tetraazaadamantane. The adducts are storage stable neat or in a solvent. The adducts are suitably added at about 0.5 ppm to 500 ppm by weight or by volume to a water source comprising one or more corrodents to inhibit corrosion of metal surfaces contacting the water source. The phosphoester anticorrosion compositions are as effective or more effective at inhibiting corrosion than conventional sulfur-based corrosion inhibitors when compared on a weight or volume basis.
Corrosion inhibitor for soft water circulation heating and cooling system and preparation method of corrosion inhibitor
A corrosion inhibitor for a soft water circulation heating and cooling system, wherein the corrosion inhibitor is pentapentanol core hyperbranched macromolecule functionalized by isothiourea and carboxyl, which has a chemical formula of C.sub.5H.sub.7O.sub.5{COC(CH.sub.3)[CH.sub.2OCOCH.sub.2CH(COOH)SC(NH)NH.sub.2].sub.2}.sub.5. The corrosion inhibitor provided by the present invention is non-phosphorus, biodegradable, non-toxic, low in cost and has good corrosion inhibition effect. Moreover, it has excellent corrosion inhibition performance for circulating heating and cooling systems using soft water as the water source, and can significantly improve the reuse rate of circulating water. The present invention also provides a preparation method of the corrosion inhibitor, which is simple, easy to obtain raw materials and easy to industrialize.
