WATER TREATMENT DEVICE CONSTRUCTION STRUCTURE HAVING GRATING ROOM AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING VARIOUS WATER SPACES/WATERSCAPING FACILITIES HAVING SAME COUPLED THERETO
A water treatment device construction structure having a grating room and a method for constructing various water spaces/waterscape facilities having the same coupled thereto are disclosed. The structure relates to a buried water treatment device for treating operation water such as tap water, groundwater, rainwater, and surface water through an environment-friendly method. A water treatment device construction structure having a grating room is coupled to civil engineering/landscaping facilities, or to fish farms that are to be constructed in view of the purpose of construction and productivity. The water treatment facility having a reservoir coupled thereto is provided in a predetermined position below facilities or on the lower-end or peripheral portion thereof in a buried/underground type. Accordingly, there is no burden in site selection; a large amount of operation water can be stored without degrading the aesthetic landscape; and natural energy can be used preferentially.
REUSABLE COMPOSITE FILTER MATERIAL AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME FOR REMOVING AND DESTROYING MOLECULAR CONTAMINANTS FROM WATER
A specially functionalized composite filter material with a high specific surface area is used to adsorb PFAs from potable water. In a preferred embodiment, the base filter material is granular activated carbon (GAC), which is sequentially coated with a thin layer of polydopamine, a thin layer of partially oxidized iron, and a thin coating of octadecylamine. After PFAs are adsorbed onto the coated GAC particles, the PFAs are removed by a rinsing process, and remain in the rinse effluent. GAC particles are recovered and recoated as needed to restore their adsorptive capacity. The PFA-containing effluent is treated using photochemical processes to destroy the PFA molecules. The now PFA-free effluent can be disposed of as a non-hazardous material. The composite filter material works in systems ranging from small passive systems for personal use to large scale, high-flow-rate utility water treatment systems.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING CHLORINE DISINFECTANT
The present invention relates to an apparatus for generating chlorine disinfectant that arranges, a salt water supply part, a hypochlorite generation part, a control part.
Water treatment system
A UV reactor for disinfecting water. The UV reactor may include a cooling chamber in which heat from a UV source may be transferred to the water flowing through the UV reactor. The UV reactor may include driver circuitry operable to determine status information, such as health, of the UV source. The UV reactor may include a gas discharge path operable to substantially prevent accumulation of gas within a water treatment chamber.
Cesspool and liner
Disclosed herein is a free-standing cesspool and a cesspool liner that may be used to retrofit existing cesspools in order to provide additional storage and/or processing for raw sewage before the sewage leaches out of the cesspool.
MONITORING OF MEMBRANE FOULING
A method is disclosed for monitoring deposit formation in an aqueous process. The method includes providing a feed flow of aqueous liquid onto a receiving surface of a monitoring cell. At least part of the receiving surface is illuminated with a light source. Visual data is collected at a multitude of positions across the receiving surface, and the collected visual data is analysed. A quantitative scaling and/or fouling indication is computed for the receiving surface. The monitoring cell has an inlet for the aqueous feed flow and an outlet for a reject flow from the monitoring cell. The receiving surface includes a selective barrier membrane. The feed flow is directed to the receiving surface at an elevated pressure to produce a permeate part that passes through the selective barrier membrane, and a concentrate part that forms the reject flow.
Water Softener System
Disclosed is a water softening system including a first filter unit and a second filter unit that selectively performs a removal mode of discharging soft water that contains a smaller amount of an ionic material than source water or a recycling mode of discharging reclaimed water that contains a larger amount of the ionic material than the source water.
METHOD FOR DETECTING ANOMALIES IN A WATER TREATMENT PLANT USING AN APPARATUS FOR INJECTING OXYGEN INTO A WASTE POOL
A method for operating a water treatment plant, wherein the plant is equipped with an apparatus for injecting a gas containing oxygen into an effluent, the method comprising a phase of detecting anomalies in the operation of the apparatus, wherein the phase of detecting anomalies comprises an implementation of the following steps: providing data representative of the operating state of the apparatus; and providing a system for acquiring and processing said data.
LARGE SCALE DESALINATION PROCESS
A large scale water desalination process for producing at least 100,000 m.sup.3/day of product water. Feed water is passed through a high pressure pump driven by at least one steam turbine capable of producing at least 1 MW of energy, the pressurized feed water passing through at least one reverse osmosis membrane to provide a residual brine stream and a product water. A start-up step slowly increases pressure in the membrane at a maximum rate of 12 psi (8.3 Newtons/cm.sup.2; 0.08 MPa) per second by rotation of the turbine driven high pressure pump at a maximum rate of 30 RPM to slowly increase pressure on the membrane to a predetermined operational pressure and controlling the operational pressure following the start-up step by rotation of the high pressure pump between 500 RPM and 5000 RPM dependent on the pressure applied by the steam turbine.
Fluid injection filtration system
A method of filtering fluid for injection into an injection well comprises detecting a fluid pressure in a conduit upstream of an actuator valve, verifying that the fluid pressure is within an operating pressure range, opening an actuator valve based on the verifying, receiving a fluid having suspended solids within a filter assembly in response to opening the actuator valve, actuating a pump in fluid communication with the filter assembly based on receiving the fluid within the filter assembly, and separating at least a portion of the suspended solids in the fluid within the filter assembly.
