POLYAMINE PHOSPHORUS DENDRIMER MATERIALS FOR METAL SEQUESTRATION
20230101316 · 2023-03-30 ·

The present disclosure provides novel solid sorbents synthesized by the reaction of polyamines with polyaldehyde phosphorus dendrimer (P-dendrimer) compounds for metal sequestration. The sorbents are highly stable and exhibit desirable thermodynamics and reaction kinetics with a wide variety of metals including heavy metals and rare earth elements. The sorbents can be easily regenerated for repeated use to extract metals from an aqueous solution. The materials are stable to aqueous and organic media, as well as strong acid and bases. The sorbents maintain full capacity over many cycles of use.

A SEQUENTIAL REACTOR FOR ADSORPTION OF POLLUTANTS ONTO ACTIVATED CARBON AND ELECTROCHEMICAL REGENERATION OF THE ACTIVATE

Disclosed herein is a wastewater treatment reactor that makes use of activated carbon as the adsorbent. The wastewater treatment reaction is suitable for use in an electrochemical advanced oxidation process and includes a cathode and anode, where the cathode is arranged to incorporate activate carbon and carbon brushes. Also disclosed herein are methods making use of the reactor for adsorption of contaminants and its regeneration.

Asymmetric electrochemical systems and methods

An asymmetric system containing a first conductive polymer modified with a redox active moiety and a second conductive polymer modified with a surfactant is used for the separation of organic compounds from aqueous solutions. The asymmetric system has complementary hydrophobicity tunability in response to electrochemical modulations. For example, both materials are hydrophobic in their respective neutral states, therefore exhibiting affinity toward organic compounds. Application of a mild potential drives the desorption of the organic compounds and regeneration of the materials. The asymmetric system can be used in a cyclic fashion, through repeated electrical discharge or shorting of the two electrodes to program the capture of organics from a feed solution, and application of a potential to stimulate the release of the adsorbed organics.

Membrane filter apparatus for liquid mixtures

A membrane filter apparatus for splitting a feed into filtrate and retentate is provided. The apparatus comprises a body chamber, a feed inlet disposed on the body chamber, a retentate outlet located in the body chamber, a feed distribution tube connected to the feed inlet, and a filter assembly having a filter. The feed distribution tube has a length sufficient to cause the feed to enter the body chamber at a feed distance from the filter assembly of no greater than 50% of a total length of the body chamber. The feed flows across the filter in a direction parallel to a surface of the filter assembly. The filtrate passes through the filter assembly and the retentate flows through the body chamber in a direction antiparallel to the feed flow through the feed distribution tube and out through the retentate outlet.

OUTER CYLINDER SCREEN WASHING APPARATUS OF SCREW PRESS

A washing pipe is mounted on a washing guide provided on an outer side of an outer cylinder screen of the screw press and includes a washing pipe body and washing nozzles provided in the washing pipe body and configured to discharge washing liquid flowing from an inside of the washing pipe body toward the outer cylinder screen. A washing pipe swing supporter is configured to support the washing guide to allow the washing pipe to swing between a discharge position and a separation position. The discharge position is a position where the washing pipe is mounted on the washing guide and the washing liquid is discharged from the washing nozzles toward the outer cylinder screen. The separation position is a position where the washing nozzles are farther away from the outer cylinder screen than in a state where the washing pipe is positioned at the discharge position.
