Polyamide (PA) nanofiltration (NF) membrane, and preparation method thereof by regeneration from scrapped microfiltration (MF) membrane

A polyamide (PA) nanofiltration (NF) membrane and a preparation method thereof by regeneration from a scrapped microfiltration (MF) membrane are provided. The method adopts a cleaning-repairing-interfacial polymerization upgrading strategy, where, sodium hypochlorite and oxalic acid are used for deeply cleaning a scrapped MF membrane. PDA is used as a repairing agent to construct a reaction platform on the membrane surface, and finally a reaction system of piperazine and trimesoyl chloride (TMC) are used to form a PA NF membrane with a PA active layer. The repairing can construct a coating with a given thickness and prominent hydrophilicity on the membrane surface, which provides favorable base membrane conditions for upgrading and preparing an NF membrane.

A solvent extraction process for desalination of seawater. The process uses a special class of polar organic solvents to preferentially dissolve salt-free water from salty water, which exhibits a reverse solubility-temperature behavior (i.e., the solubility of water in the solvent is high at room temperature but significantly lower at higher temperatures). The desalination process includes adding these special class of solvents to sea or salty water at room temperature, separating the solvent-water phase (organic phase) from the remaining mass of salt-rich water (aqueous phase), heating the solvent-water phase to a higher temperature and recovering the relatively salt-free water that separates out. The process is simple, fast, ecologically safe and energy efficient.

A method and device for removing chloride ions in desulfurized wastewater by electrochemical coupling in which the device comprises: an electrolyte tank having a top and a bottom wherein the tank is used as a separator in a separation process and as an electrode regenerator in an electrode regeneration process; two electrodes comprising a hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis function electrode and an electrochemically switched ion exchange (ESIX) function electrode respectively, wherein the electrodes are connected with each other by a wire; two DC circuits having opposite electric field directions and used alternately in the separation process and the electrode regeneration process respectively; the bottom of the electrolyte tank is provided with a purified high-concentration chloride ion wastewater inlet and a flocculation product outlet; the top of the tank is provided with a dechlorination treatment water outlet and a hydrogen collecting port; and, in the electrode regeneration process, the electrolyte tank is connected to an electrode regeneration liquid storage tank through a pump and a pipeline.

Contaminants within the liquid collect within the grid of the layers of the plate layer for later disposal.
