METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC MATTER USING THICKENING AND THERMAL TREATMENT
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising the following steps: The organic matter is first thickened to increase the solids concentration. The thickened organic matter is supplied directly into a digester. The organic matter is then removed from the digester by way of a recirculation line, thermally treated and returned to the digester. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a digester, a thickener and a recirculation line, where the thickener is arranged upstream of the digester, and the recirculation line is designed to supply organic matter from the digester directly to the thermal treatment device, and to return the treated organic matter to the digester.
WATER RECOVERY APPARATUS AND ELECTRODIALYSIS DEVICE
Wastewater containing scale components, organic substances, inorganic ions, and the like, such as human effluent, generated in a closed system space, such as a nuclear shelter, a hazardous shelter, a space station or a moon-Mars mission manned spacecraft, or a lunar base is efficiently treated by a simple structural apparatus, so that water is recovered. After a hardness component is removed from water to be treated, such as human effluent, by a softening device, and heat exchange is performed between softening treated water and electrolysis treated water by a heat exchanger, by a high-temperature and high-pressure electrolysis device, organic substances, urea, ammonia, and the like are removed by electrolysis performed under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. After the electrolysis treated water is processed by a deaeration treatment using a deaeration membrane device, a desalting treatment is performed by acid/alkali manufacturing electrodialysis devices and provided in series at two stages.
Chemical free and energy efficient desalination system
A desalination system (100) having an intake unit (110) providing seawater to a pre-treatment unit (120) connected to a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination unit (130) and a post treatment unit (150). The desalination system (100) is configured to operate without any external addition of chemicals to simplify logistics and regulation concerns. The units of the system are configured to prevent biofouling, scaling and corrosion by mechanical and biological means including high flow speeds, biological flocculation of colloids, and making the water entering the RO units inhospitable to bacteria and other organisms that cause biofouling, hence preventing their settlement and removing them with the brine. Recovery rate is lowered and energy is recovered to increase the energetic efficiency and minerals that are added to the product water are taken from the brine.
Methods of using ionic liquids as corrosion inhibitors
Ionic liquid containing compositions may be used in the production, recovery and refining of oil and gas. In addition, they may be used to treat cooling water and/or to inhibit and/or prevent corrosion of metals.
WATER PURIFIER
The water purifier includes a nozzle (9) in a jacket pipe (1). At least one inlet bore (21) connects an inlet-side section of the jacket pipe (1) to a turbulence chamber (19), which is open towards an outlet-side section of the jacket pipe (1). When flowing through the inlet bore (21), a water stream is deflected and is swirled in the turbulence chamber (19). The rotating water stream subsequently passes through the magnetic field of at least one magnet (11). This efficiently prevents deposits of limestone or scale.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC MATTER, INVOLVING RECIRCULATION OF DIGESTED SLUDGE
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, where the organic matter is first fed to a disintegration system. The organic matter is then subjected to thermal hydrolysis in the disintegration system to form disintegrated matter. The disintegrated matter is fed to a digester in which the disintegrated matter is at least partially digested such that digested sludge is formed, where at least part of the digested sludge obtained is recirculated via a recirculation line to a point upstream of the disintegration system. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a disintegration system, a digester downstream thereof, and a recirculation line for at least partially digested disintegrated matter, said recirculation line extending from a point downstream of the digester to a point upstream of the thermal disintegration system.
Method for preventing scale deposits and removing contaminants from fluid columns
A method for providing magnetic fluid treatment in which at least one electrical conductor comprising at least one length of an electrical conducting material having a first conductor lead and a second conductor lead is energized. The electrical conductor is coiled with at least one turn to form at least one uninterrupted coil of electrical conductor encircling at least a section of an outer surface of a conduit. Energizing the at least one electrical conductor establishes a magnetic field having lines of flux directed along the flow path and concentrated in a non-magnetically conductive region located between two magnetically conductive regions. A fluid is directed through the conduit past the non-magnetically conductive region to provide magnetic fluid treatment to the fluid.
SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT OF POLLUTED EFFLUENTS
A system for treatment of a polluted effluent, includes an outer chamber configured to treat the polluted effluent in mixture with a purification slurry including particles of one or more catalysts and/or organoclays, or a mixture thereof. The outer chamber includes (i) a stirring unit consisting of an engine and a stirrer, configured to mix the polluted effluent and the purification slurry to prevent the particles from sinking without causing a turbulence, (ii) a membrane located at the top of the outer chamber through which a treated effluent passes, while preventing the particles of one or more catalysts and/or organoclays from exiting the outer chamber together with the treated effluent, (iii) a membrane cleaning system configured to remove and collect the particles of one or more catalysts and/or organoclays accumulated on the membrane, and re-introducing the particles back to the bottom of the outer chamber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLEXIBLE LOW-ENERGY MEMBRANE-BASED LIQUID PURIFICATION
A membrane process unit (MPU) is configured to receive a feed stream, subject the feed stream to membrane purification to generate a product stream and a concentrate stream, and subject the concentrate stream to energy recovery to provide at least a portion of energy for membrane purification. A concentrate recycle unit (CRU) is configured to receive the concentrate stream from the MPU, subject the concentrate stream to flow regulation to generate a waste stream and a recycled concentrate stream, and combine the recycled concentrate stream with a raw feed stream to generate the feed stream which is supplied to the MPU. At least one of a flow rate of the raw feed stream, a flow rate of the waste stream, or a flow rate of the recycled concentrate stream is varied, while each of a flow rate of the feed stream, a flow rate of the product stream, and a flow rate of the concentrate stream is maintained substantially fixed.
