Windshield washer reservoir conditioner
A system and method of collecting and conditioning rainwater and other moisture, such as dew, from a windshield of a vehicle and utilizing the collected fluid to replenish the fluids in the windshield washer reservoir. A collection funnel is positioned on a vehicle in order to collect rainwater and other moisture. Rainwater and other fluids from the collection funnel are directed to a conditioning cartridge capable of treating the fluid with a surfactant to form a mixed fluid. An anti-freeze material may also be added. The mixed fluid is directed to the pre-existing windshield washer reservoir.
Method for realizing rapid startup of denitrification biofilter
A method for achieving rapid startup of a denitrification biofilter tank, which belongs to the technical field of biofilm sewage treatment. The specific steps are: 1. selecting heterotrophic denitrification or mixotrophic denitrification to treat influent sewage; 2. when the heterotrophic denitrification is used, pretreating the filter material with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose solution and then adding rhamnolipid after the introduction of sewage until the biofilter tank system starts successfully; 3. when the mixotrophic denitrification method is used, the filter tank is inoculated after the introduction of sewage, and the rhamnolipid is added thereto and is changed to sulfur source after operation for a while until startup is complete. The invention solves the problem that the denitrification biofilter tank in the sewage treatment is particularly slow in the mixotrophic state, and has a good application prospect.
Water treatment method, and associated module and facility
Disclosed are water treatment processes enabling cations and anions to be extracted from an aqueous effluent by contacting the aqueous effluents with a hydrophobic liquid phase, also including at least one step of contacting the effluent with a hydrophobic solid membrane, in order to remove the residual hydrophobic liquid membrane in the effluent treated by coalescence on the hydrophobic solid membrane. The processes include seawater desalination processes. Also disclosed is a desalination module as well as its facility therefor, including at least one coalescer.
Portable, non-biological, cyclic sewage treatment plant
A mobile sewage treatment and water reclamation system for rapid deployment to augment existing wastewater systems and provide interim service in lieu of permanent facilities, includes: (a) denaturing stage wherein raw sewage is first ground into suspendable grit, its pH first lowered to kill acid-sensitive bio-organisms, then raised to kill base-sensitive bio-organisms, and then neutralized; (b) clarifying stage employing an inverted-cone tank to circulate the solution after injection with chemicals to flocculate small particles for collection in a layer for siphoning off; and (c) disposal stage wherein clarified water passes through media filters to remove remaining solids and odors, the effluent water being clean enough for irrigation, aquatic life and discharge into waterways; and wherein sterile sludge is pressed into semi-dry solids, then dried, crushed, powdered and bagged for use as high-nitrate biomass fertilizer or for fossil-fuel power co-generation applications.
Compositions and methods for treating water by stabilizing an oxidizing biocide
Methods and liquid compositions for stabilizing an oxidizing biocide in a water system. The liquid composition comprises a hydantoin, and a surfactant, a ratio of a concentration of the hydantoin to the surfactant in the liquid composition is in a range of 1:1 to 99:1 by volume. The method comprises mixing a hydantoin, a surfactant and an oxidizing biocide with water to form a liquid treatment composition, and then adding the liquid treatment composition to a water stream in the water system, the liquid treatment composition improving the efficacy of the oxidizing biocide in the water stream.
Process for treating organic material
The present invention provides a process for the treatment of sewage sludge with enzymes, which process comprises treating a sewage sludge resulting from the treatment of municipal or industrial waste water with a composition comprising a fermentation supernatant product from a Saccharomyces cerevisiae culture and a non-ionic surfactant, wherein said fermentation supernatant product is free of active enzymes, at conditions suitable for generating said active enzymes from said sewage sludge in situ.
METHODS FOR PREVENTING, REMOVING, REDUCING, OR DISRUPTING BIOFILM
The present invention relates to methods for preventing, removing, reducing, or disrupting biofilm present on a surface, comprising contacting the surface with an alpha-amylase derived from a bacterium.
Composition and method for continuous or intermittent removal of soil from recirculated washing solution
A method of removing food soils from a recirculated washing solution includes adding a flocculating agent to the recirculated washing solution and separating the particulates from the recirculated washing solution using a hydrocyclone. The flocculating agent causes a portion of the food soils to combine into particulates having a higher density.
Image processing for improving coagulation and flocculation
A flocculation control system that floats particles that attach to nano and/or micro bubbles out of a liquid includes at least one sensing system, at least one processing system, and at least one fluid additive control system. The at least one sensing system is configured to reproduce one or more nano-bubbles with one or more particles suspended in a fluid. The at least one processing system is configured to measure, using outputs of the at least one sensing system, incident angles between the one or more nano-bubbles and the one or more particles suspended in the fluid. And the at least one fluid additive control system is configured to adjust, based on at least the incident angles, an amount of a surfactant being added to the fluid.
